Since the next presidential election is Nov 2012 (unless canceled), TODAY'S climate is totally irrelevant. I suspect 2012's climate, and even 2010's to be vastly different- and a whole new ballgame.
I agree, however Boltin is a pragmatist and the last time a pragmatist was elected president was back in 1861.
