If all of this were happening under McCain, the press would have been calling for his resignation and the headlines would always start with “CORRUPT REPULICANS.”

it really seems of late that there's a "push back" occurring at levels I hardly expected. Maybe there are people in DC who are not quite ready for hardcore Stalinism just yet?

Or perhaps the payment was late?

This is a fairly typical sort of “news item” when it comes to the Politico. No real news. No reasons. No info on why, how or what.

Washington DC has a Chief Technology Officer?

Okay, I read the Politico article and the WePO article linked in it.

It seems this isn’t really about Obama’s appointee for Chief Information Officer (Vivek Kundra). A man, Yusuf Acar, who worked for D.C.’s Chief Technology Office was arrested for bribery. Kundra was with the DC CTO prior to accepting the appointment as Obama’s CIO.

There’s nothing indicating he’s involved in any sting or under any investigation.

But the stories are a bit confusing, so who knows.
