'Obama is overwhelmed.' (Obama ally says he's "too tired")
National Review ^ | Sunday, March 08, 2009 | Jim Geraghty

Posted on 03/08/2009 12:41:18 PM PDT by Behind Liberal Lines

Perhaps it's just some Obama ally speaking out of school. But these are probably some of the most terrifying words to come from an unidentified source in some time:

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.

Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.

A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama's inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to "even fake an interest in foreign policy".

The American source said: "Obama is overwhelmed. There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda.

"That was the gamble these guys made at the front end of this presidency and I think they're finding it a hard thing to do everything."

It's at moments like this I'm reminded of this assessment of Obama, back in 2007: "I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."

That assessment came from . . . Vice President Joe Biden.

When do the adults take over in Washington?

I don't know. Have you heard anything about a military coup?

Notice how Palin gave a dynamite convention speech and an excellent VP debate. While the liberals mocked her, they also feared her charisma.

Jindhal gives a bumbling speech and the liberals simply ridiculed him.

Better to be feared than mocked.

Go Moose Hunter!!!

He voted present 119 times in the Senate. He’s got a track record of mailing it in.

Didn't Emil Jones cover for him in the Illinois State Senate? He has no one to cover for him now.

” The Telegraph understands tht one of Mr Obama’s most prominent African American backers,
whose endorsement he spent two years cultivating,
has told friends he detects a weakness in Mr Obama’s character.”

Colin Powell ??
Gee.. I wonder what his first clue was ?
I think Barry blew off the Brits because he was too lazy to read the briefing papers
and because he has zero background
or interest in American history and it’s nexus with the British.
Barry does however have the energy for NBA games,
Wednesday cocktail parties, Conga lines at same , concerts, drinking , texting his buddies,
many nights out with Michelle dining all over DC,
trips to Chicago for Valentine’s day, etc, etc.
Priorities.
This feeble and lazy jive turkey is mentally and physically incapable of doing his job.
Or any job.
I’m sure the terrorists just love reading about our weak and puny president.

Our enemies are laughing their asses off. Do you think possibly by summer, we will see an attack? What then? Does Obama completely melt down? I knew that he would be bad, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this!!!

Hussein thought the run for the presidency was a beauty contest. Bummer that he has to have a real job for four years. Who knew?

This guy has his house built on sand with high tide coming in. Other than his mud-hut brother and cardboard-hut Aunt, he has no family to support him. Never did. Furthermore, with no devotion to the Lord, he can find no strength in faith. These two elements were always cited by W. as helping him through the toughest hours. We are really in a mess here.

If we are going to compare Bush's first 100 days to Zer0's first 100 let's not forget that Pres. Bush had to play a major game of catchup to put his cabinet together thanks to Sore Loserman's attempt to steal the election. He did as much as he could before he was inaugurated even though he wasn't officially confirmed the winner but he had to do it behind the scenes without the normal cooperation.

He never whined about that. Not once. He never made any excuses before or after his inauguration. He just did it and it must have meant a double work load for at least the first 100 days.

0bama is a wuss. He can't even eat a waffle and talk at the same time without losing it.

Yes, and some of the comments at the originating site are very interesting. Several of them see right through the distraction propaganda and omissions.

Because Bush has something Obama doesn’t - CLASS.

Obama was a fraud, we all knew that, unfortunately the idiots that put this idiot in office didn’t, worse still they refused to believe.

The affirmative action President is crashing and burning...unfortunately he’s taking the most powerful country in the world with him.

His snub to Brown (whom I actually loathe) was an insult to my country. DVDs? Obama and his wife have no class, they actually sicken me. It’s going to be a long 8 years.

The O-man is at the largest buffet table he has ever seen. He’s trying to eat everything. His cheeks are so full, they’re like two ripe melons. He’s bitten off more than he can chew. It’s getting hard to swallow. Will he spit it out? Will he spray the undigested bits over all his guests? Here O-man, have a big slice of Humble Pie....ooops.

The Sunday Telegraph understands that one of Mr Obama's most prominent African American backers, whose endorsement he spent two years cultivating, has told friends that he detects a weakness in Mr Obama's character.

"The one real serious flaw I see in Barack Obama is that he thinks he can manage all this," the well-known figure told a Washington official, who spoke to this newspaper. "He's underestimating the flood of things that will hit his desk."

So, put down Colin Powell as regretful RINO.
