'Obama is overwhelmed.' (Obama ally says he's "too tired")
National Review ^ | Sunday, March 08, 2009 | Jim Geraghty

Posted on 03/08/2009 12:41:18 PM PDT by Behind Liberal Lines

Perhaps it's just some Obama ally speaking out of school. But these are probably some of the most terrifying words to come from an unidentified source in some time:

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.

Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.

A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama's inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to "even fake an interest in foreign policy".

The American source said: "Obama is overwhelmed. There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda.

"That was the gamble these guys made at the front end of this presidency and I think they're finding it a hard thing to do everything."

It's at moments like this I'm reminded of this assessment of Obama, back in 2007: "I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."

That assessment came from . . . Vice President Joe Biden.

Well you have to consider that up to now, Obama probably hadn't done an honest day's work in his life. He was pretty much an absentee senator, spending most of his political life "campaigning" for the next level, and before that, well just how much work does a "community organizer" have to do really?

Yep, up to January 20th of this year, it's been pretty much a pleasure cruise for Obama. Well now we'll see just how much a mistake it was to elevate somebody so unprepared and out of his league to the highest office. Obama is the "Peter principle" taken to the extreme and America must pay the price.

Remember when Obama gave that big speech in the greek temple in Denver? He went on and on about Bush,,then wagged his finger like a stern parent and said “enough”.

Amazing,, they worship Obama, and quote him like chaiman mao.

Someone over at DU posted up close and personal photos of President Obama when he was in Columbus, Ohio on Friday to attend the swearing-in of the police officer recruits, whose jobs he saved for approximately nine months through the stimulus package.

Personally, I thought he looked well-rested and exuberant.

Who would have imagined that a drug addled community organizer who has never had a real job and votes present on major issues wouldn't be up to the job of President of the United State of America.

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

With all due respect to Pres_ _ent Obama,
the VICTIMS of the 911 Atrocities were far more than 'overwhelmed'.
What about them? What about the American people?

I was thinking about the contrast between the people 0bama has surrounded himself with, and Bush’s associates. Biden is a dope and a career legislative hack with no real executive experience. Bush had Dick Cheney, who was smart, articulate, and more qualified to be POTUS than W himself, having been Ford’s Chief of Staff & SecDefense under GHW Bush. 0bama’s SecState’s sole qualification is having been married to the kleptocratic Gov. of a small backward state; Bush’s had been Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and in charge of a war involving at least half a million Allied troops. 0’s Chief of Staff is another ultrapartisan legislative hack. The whole 0 admin. is a mess.

Hmmmm....we have a Free Lunch president and an Out to Lunch vice president, Ernest.

The Executive branch has been co opted by the Dems in congress, in which the leadership corrupt, condescending, cruel and paltry. (Just shorten it to CCCP.)

It's the lying that's tiring; an agenda that's lost in the MSM's fascination with the bleeding economy.

Maybe if he wasn't on the plane so much to continue his efforts at organizing communities, and instead would tend to the business he was elected for, he wouldn't be so tired.

Here's the scary part: lack of sleep and being tired affects one's judgment in a very big way. That is very alarming to me, particularly when he is challenged on foreign policy.

‘Obama is overwhelmed.’ (Obama ally says he’s “too tired”)

...it’s a lot of work destroying a financial infrastructure and it requires a lot of “Evian” to piss on the Constitution on a daily basis. Perhaps Mr. girlie/boy is mensturating? What he needs is a nice arugula salad, bean sprouts and a lowfat vinnagrette. Some cucumber slices on the eyes and some Melissa Etheridge (or other lesbian singer) to calm him. When the DOW dips another 200 points tomorrow, that’ll chear him up!

I'm not buying the "I'm tired", BS.

He should stay at home instead of leaving the White House every weekend simply to avoid going to "church".

Saw the People magazine cover today, with Biceps M. Obama on the cover and the headline: Our Life in the White House.

Sounds like it’s already over.

After six weeks?

Yee-hah

You ran, lied and cheated to get the job asshat, now make it right quickly as you promised or suffer the political consequences.

Actually, we don’t have to wish for his failure, he is paving the way without our help.
