The idea that some Foggy Bottom flunky would say Britain has the same significance to America as, say, Zaire, makes my blood boil. That’s even worse than the screwup with the Browns’ visit.

Let's say you want to make a reporter your lap dog. Feed him some info (false or real) that's impossible to check and makes your boss look bad. Do that a few times and he'll think of you as "that guy who'll give me the real goods instead of the White House party line."

There’s a thought. I hadn’t really thought of 0bama in the Oval Office going through line by line of people’s names to authorize those to execute. Uncle Joe and Benito must be yucking it up.
