As I said:, I have nothing against the man personally; in fact, he seems witty and charming, and is clearly much more intelligent than the majority of his slobbering doofus listeners. He is also a far better golfer than I am. But the whole status-quo, 1988-era Republican schtick he pushes on his show is about as relevant in today’s world as Hair Metal. There’s no future left in the GOP or the big-business liberalism it represents, and it annoys me to hear the daily pontifications from the endless stream of relentlessly middlebrow drywall contractors and insurance salesmen who call into his show in their defense. I have listened to Rush off and on for years and have yet to hear a caller have the conversation you outline or a conversation remotely resembling it. Don't like Rush? This is garbage...Rush is right that they will use the unfortunate situation of Ted Kennedy to push this bill. Remember “Do it for Paul!” at the Wellstone memorial? This will be right in line with Ann Coulter’s point about using unassailable victims to further the left’s causes...downright despicable.
