As I said:, I have nothing against the man personally; in fact, he seems witty and charming, and is clearly much more intelligent than the majority of his slobbering doofus listeners. He is also a far better golfer than I am. But the whole status-quo, 1988-era Republican schtick he pushes on his show is about as relevant in todays world as Hair Metal. Theres no future left in the GOP or the big-business liberalism it represents, and it annoys me to hear the daily pontifications from the endless stream of relentlessly middlebrow drywall contractors and insurance salesmen who call into his show in their defense. I mean, I can only endure hearing something like MEGA DITTOES RUSH! FIRST TIME CALLER LONG TIME LISSENER! IM CALLIN IN TUHDAY ABOUT HOW MUCH IT CAWSTS TUH FILL UP MAH 4X4! before wanting to empty the mag of my Mossberg into the radio. I hope this has answered your question. The only doofus I see on this thread is you. Been at DU long? I have listened to Rush off and on for years and have yet to hear a caller have the conversation you outline or a conversation remotely resembling it. Don't like Rush? Fine, but don't call me a slobbering doofus you f***wit. You are rude, inaccurate and, frankly, full of sh**!

B-chan's synopsis of Rush's show is like....let's run a few analogies to illustrate:
like saying Bill Evans was that retarded pianist who played with his ear plastered to the keyboard
like saying Tom Wolf's Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test showed his nincompoopness regarding grammar, with all those run-on sentences
like saying Gary Player was that twirpy pint-sized golfer who had a fetish for the color black
like saying Orson Welles was an overbloated no-talent director and actor because he was hung up on human depravity
In brief: B-chan just doesn't get it.

I swear I heard Hannity slip something into his show tonight so briefly that I don't know if I heard it right or not.
But it was something to the effect the Rush had either called on Kennedy in Miami or will call on him in a "reconciliation" visit. Anyone else hear this?

It shows again three hours later out here on the west coast.
I imagine it should be on again at midnite where you are.
How far into the show was it?
Sure doesn't sound like something Rush would do though.

You have been on this forum for a long time so you are obviously a good conservative. I'm curious why you are not a fan of his show. For the same reason I don't eat at McDonald's.

This is garbage...Rush is right that they will use the unfortunate situation of Ted Kennedy to push this bill. Remember “Do it for Paul!” at the Wellstone memorial? This will be right in line with Ann Coulter’s point about using unassailable victims to further the left’s causes...downright despicable.

Amazing, isn't it, how they manage to shield wealth down to Joe Kennedy's great-great grandchildren, and yet at the same time, he and the rest of the democrats want to deny the peons their relief from the death tax.
Ted Kennedy is maybe the most destructive politician of the last 60 years in America, with only Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton in contention. Of course, Obama may beat them all, and in only a few months of effort. Kennedy's worst bill of all may have been the 1965 immigration act, which he promised would not change the demographics of the nation. Hah! He'll finish off with this stupendously awful health care bill, and then go to meet his master, Satan.

FYI:
"The [immigration] bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It
will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the
standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose
their jobs."
- Ted Kennedy, 1965
"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal
aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again
bring forward another amnesty bill like this."
- Ted Kennedy, 1986
"Now it is time for action. 2007 is the year we must fix our broken
system."
- Ted Kennedy, 2007

Yes, it certainly isn't a word - I was fooling around. And objection sustained in my misspelling.
More importantly, I visited your personal site just to see how long you have been around, and I am impressed with your writing & thinking. I share your devotion to our Catholic faith, and marriage, and fatherhood, and our country. Nice to make your acquaintance. I hope you are having a rewarding journey this Lent.

I’m trying to get Rush Transcript about Kennedy Memorial Healthcare Plan.
Need to show it to my neighbor.
She wants to hear or read what he actually said.
