Newt Gingrich Eyes 2012 Run
Susan Davis reports on politics.
Newt Gingrich is keeping an eye towards 2012, the former speaker of the House told reporters Thursday evening before a speaking engagement at Randolph Macon College.
Gingrich said he and his wife, Callista, “will look seriously and we’ll probably get our family totally engaged, including our two grandchildren, probably in January 2011, and we’ll look seriously at whether or not we think it’s necessary to do it,” he said, according to the Richmond Times Dispatch.
“And if we think it’s necessary we’ll probably do it. And if it isn’t necessary we probably won’t do it,” he said.
At the Feb. 28 annual Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., Gingrich garnered 10% in a straw poll of potential 2012 candidates. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won—for the third straight year—with 20%, followed by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal with 14%, Texas Rep. Ron Paul, and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin—both of which received 13%.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average has fallen faster under President Obama than under any new president in at least 90
years, according to a review conducted by Bloomberg.
Bloomberg reports that since Inauguration Day, the Dow has fallen 20 percent, leading at least one investor to dub
this the “Obama bear market.” The Dow has also dropped 31 percent since Election Day.
Despite a string of government bailout offers and Obama’s advice earlier this week that Americans should be buying
stock while shares are low, the Dow has continued to freefall.
Bloomberg reported that Obama is at risk of breaking a historical trend — in which the Dow soars an average of

With your obvious rudimentary knowledge of the financial markets, you must really have all of the answers. So please opine more on how markets react to government. You only show how stupid you are. Just spewing out Sean Hannity’s talking points it not impressive. And while yes, the markets are forward looking, to think that the markets are reacting only to the few executive orders, and bills that the current president has signed for the near future it simplistic and foolish at best.

The Stock Market looks FORWARD 12 months+, not backwards to the period when DEMOCRATS controlled Congress (2007-2008). Instead of going after banks and financial companies (which spent 65% of their money donating to DEMOCRATS) they were trying to take shots at Bush and grilling oil company executives (funny how nothing ever came of those Stalinist style show trials). Of course Bush spend the last 2 years acting more like a Democrat than Republican - he should sell his Veto pen on Ebay “Like New, barely used”.
Most Democrats are too stupid to understand the market is going down because Obama is openly hostile to business and seeking to penalize anyone who makes what he terms is “excessive profit”. I expect more US companies and execs to move completely offshore to tax friendly countries - maybe even to CHINA !! Then ship their products back here. Not to mention Obama backing Union Thugs who want to turn every company in GM or Chrysler and every city into DETROIT, large parts of which resemble a bombed out post apocalyptic movie set run by thugs resemble Robert Mugabe of ZIMBABWE with its 231,000,000% inflation and 85% unemployment rate.

The stock market was obviously tanking last year under the watch of President Bush, or as we like to refer to him President Tush. The lows last year were in the 7400 range for the Dow. So from a technical analysis of the Dow chart, as well as the other major indexes, this is just essentially a test of previous lows, with a breakthrough of 10% to the downside. Either way, to blame the stock market losses on Obama is just plain old silly.
