I suspect that a large number of American conservatives would willingly put themselves between Obama or President Clinton or President Carter and an assassin’s bullet if it was needed - because it’s the right thing to do no matter what their politics.
I suspect a much smaller number of American liberals would ever consider doing the same for either President Bush. Because that don’t seem to think the same way.
Yes, I know there are exceptions on both sides - but I bet that’s where the numbers come down overall.

That was then, this is now. You are right about how we would have done it before. “Taken the bullet no matter what the party” or how much he defrauded the election and disenfranchised our votes.
How long will we take this abuse from the Marxists yet still remain “loyal” to them and by extension their cause?
Sooner or later we are going to have to admit things are as bad as they are. That the division is as bad as it is. That the Democrats have spent decades carefully working on disassembling and dividing the nation.
Sooner or later we’ll have to admit that the one way street that we have been going down when dealing with the Left lo these many years is over and that now there very tactics and playbook can indeed be turned around on them. There is little to lose since there playbook of the last 8 years seems to have worked out well for them indeed.
We got to this point by always “taking the high road” and letting the Left get away with whatever they wanted. Now its time to start thinking about taking the survival road.
Currently a cold “civil war” exists in America. But for how long? How long until these sickening Marxists, drunk with power and arrogance push it over the line? My bet is that is only gets worse from here. We are seeing them already going after anyone who dissents.
We will never go back to Mayberry America because the Left has made it their mission to wipe it off the map and out of the fabric of our society long ago. There are consequences for those actions by the Left. One consequence is that far fewer conservatives are willing to “take the bullet” for these treasonous bas-tards who call themselves “Americans” anymore.

I used to care a lot and worry a lot about the thought of the Islamofascists next strike on major metropolitan Blue Zones. After the last 8 years of treason from the Left and the Left Wanting Bush to Fail and their getting away with it, sadly I am fairly certain I will care far less now if a Blue Zone is hit hard.
I would morn for any conservative lives lost but I doubt my concern would extend past that point. Too much has passed, too much bad blood. Too many abuses of power by the Left and their media spinning their pack of lies day in and day out. Its my right to pick and choose who I give a damn about and no one has to like it.
Somehow the feeling of “just desserts” and “they brought it on themselves no matter how hard we tried to help them” would be difficult to shake. Somehow the feeling that “They did everything possible to interfere with going after Islamofascists despite our best efforts” will be staring us all right in the face.
This is a sign of a nation truly shattered by 8 years of treasonous backstabbing, “Wanting-Bush-to-Fail” and undermining from the Left. I don’t think anything will fix it personally. And neither do a lot of people.
Those that inhabit the Blue Zones have done everything in their power to help achieve this “State of The Union”. It is not humanly possible to not feel that ironic justice is not part of the equation - should these events that everyone thinks will eventually happen again - happen again.
And that’s one reason why I don’t live in any Major Metro Blue Zone.
Its not against the law to not give a damn anymore about what happens to Marxists as they engage in their insurgency in America.
They used to be able to count on many of us as rock solid. I think those numbers are now dwindling. And that’s what surprises the Left most of all. They didn’t expect a united front and vote. They thought we would just bow down to them and come crawling. We are not acting like we always have. They used to be able to push us around and act however they want and yet count on us to help hold things together.
Funny how this time, it doesn’t seem to be working.
