Their strategy is backfiring on them. It’s putting Rush equal with the Presidency.
He’s smart enough not to fall for it. He turned it right back on them. Called Zero out for a debate.
That’s taking the Saul Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” personalize and destroy plan and flushing it right down the toilet.
Instead of responding in kind, Rush has turned it around in calling zero out with an intellectual challenge. No sound bites, no petty back and forth.
He pwned Zero.
The guy is really smart. I have to applaud him.
Plus, with all his wealth, Rush couldn't afford to buy this kind of publicity. Some have argued that Rush is stepping into a trap somehow. I think the arrogant dorks of the Bammy regime jumped one shark too many. Only an idiot takes on a radio celebrity with 25 million listeners a week and who owns his own show so no one can tell him what to say or not to say.
There are tens of millions of Americans who haven't listened to Rush before, but who will have their curiosity tweaked by this attack from the grease-stained White House Obama-Rahm-O-mama buttboy team.
Indeed he did. Rush calls on The Kenyan hisself to put up or shutup and - what do you know?! - suddenly it's counterproductive for the president to engage in a gunfight armed with a plastic fork.
Considering His Largessee Zero’s “handling” of Rush and his rebuff at the hands of Russia’s President, I’d say he’s Zero for 2 in the diplomacy area!
He's even smarter than that. This is Rush's version of the Kobayashi Maru... a no win situation. Buried in his monologue today was an allusion to the fairness doctrine. Simply put, Obama loses either way because if he declines to accept, it makes his philosophical position (on the fairness doctrine) contradictory. It would give Rush, and by extension, conservative talk radio in general, the intellectual upper hand. I think by know the White House knows this and realizes their profound mistake.
That's right, they made Rush much more important and that much more influential. They provided conservatives an opportunity to fight back and legitimized conservatism in one fell swoop. It was like Rush's Doolittle moment.
