I don't see how this isn't a violation of this young man's civil rights. We have an employee of the state of CT using her position to intimidate a political voice with whom she disagrees.

I'm not sure if the police have any civil culpability or have exposed themselves to a civil action, but at a minimum their behavior is disturbing.

And another thing. This is yet another example of why I'll always be against the registering of firearms of any kind for any reason.

It already happens. The bookstores keep a history of your purchases. Same with the grocery store.

The Pennsylvania State Police maintain a database of legal gun sales. I could actually see this kind of thing happening at a Pennsylvania university and the campus cops running to the state police to get the information.
