Kiss your aspirations goodbye, Mr. Cantor.

There is much that Cantor has to learn—and lessons on how to shut-up and smile are on the list. Rush is the only thing happening to incite any enthusiasm on the right.

Indeed. And people been telling me this guy is a hope for the future.

Rush handed the GOP a great platform to play off of. They all knew this speech would be on the Sunday shows and in the columns. Media 'rats are as predictable as mold on cheese. They were handed a rare chance to expand and explain why Rush's provocative speech was a clarion call to America.

They came to the plate knowing what the opposition was going to be pitching at them. They had plenty of time to prepare. And instead of hitting it out of the park, they all wet their pants and ran to the dugout to hide from the big bad liberal boogie man on the mound.

GOP is worse than pathetic.

I bet you have no idea about where his congressional district is and the make up of the people that live there. Maybe you think a democrate in that district would be better.

Damn! This really disappoints me. I’m hoping Cantor’s just telling the MSM what they want to hear, but I guess i’ll have to take a wait & see attitude. Rush sure put a bee in a lot of bonnets last night, didn’t he??? Love that guy!!

Kiss your aspirations goodbye, Mr. Cantor.

It's very easy for Rush to be straightforward about his views. Cantor's task is far more difficult - he needs to oppose and block as much of the liberal agenda as possible while at the same time he must avoid letting the GOP be cast as obstructionists to America's recovery.

If Cantor doesn't get this balancing act right, Republicans will gain no seats in 2010 or 2012 and might lose even more. Rush keeps his audience no matter what.
