If there is no story here, why is he fighting it in court? Just release a certified copy of the ORIGINAL document and be done with it. Make the ‘birthers’ out to be fools instead of fueling the conspiracy theories.
BTW, a COLB is not the same as the original Birth Certificate.
My suspicion is there is something there. Maybe (probably) he is a citizen, but something is there he does not want made public.

Ah, something on which we can agree. For the record, I do find it strange he hasn't made public a "certified" copy. And, like you I guess there's something on that certificate that conflicts with his TWO autobiographies; maybe his father, or his religion.
Additionally, I think that the probable reason he hasn't released any of his college transcripts, applications, student aid forms etc, is that there's additional information located on those documents that conflicts with his biographical narrative.
The problem is that there isn't any Constitutional or statute requirements for him to do so. So, he didn't and he won't regardless of any precedent that may have been set by previous or current candidates. But, to claim he wasn't indeed born in HI is, IMHO just folly for the MSM to bash conservatives.
