If the economy collapses, will all infrastructure collapse as well? Will civil disorder and anarchy rule? What kept us together in the last Depression was the belief in God and that things will get better. But as atheism and consumerism takes the place of God, what will be the standard to which we will hold ourselves accountable? As a nation together and solidified for our future we could overcome, but as a nation divided into tribal enclaves (who thought diversity was a better idea than assimilation?)what will be our fate?

Better buy some ammo. You should already have the guns by now.

Go to an Academy Sports Store and look at the shelves that hold or held rifle ammo and ask the clerk how long the back order is on an AR-15. "THE ANSWER MY FRIEND IS BLOWING IN WIND."

I’ve been kicking these same thoughts around now for some time. I think a collapse in today’s environment will be much scarier. The inner cities are jungles and I would not want to be anywhere near those areas of public housing, drug abuse, gangs, guns, etc....if and when this thing comes crashing down.

My Opinion-—

We will really see the survival of the fittest....mentally,emotionally,and spiritually.

Imagine, if you will, the day some state sends out IOU's in place of welfare checks...and expects local businesses to take them in good faith. It won't take much for the moochers to be incensed that their freebies aren't handed to them instantly, that they're owed their daily bread and satellite tv and by golly, they intend to take it.

If anybody finds Galt's Gulch, shoot me the mapquest link, 'kay?

Probably off-topic, but on New Year's Eve this year, I gathered around the TV with my family (NYEve is always a time we spend together) to watch the celebration. It was quite depressing. On one channel, Dick Clark was almost drooling. It was sad to watch him trying to do the show after his stroke. We flipped channels, and there was some woman singing, "I kissed a girl and I liked it" then when we flipped again, they were playing John Lennon's ode to atheism and communism "Imagine."

I fear this is what our country has come to, and that this may really be what most people want. If it is, this country will never survive hard times.
