Whether we are owners or employees, we are now working for a very large Company A otherwise known as the federal government. The sad thing is that in our personal lives we hate working for this type of company.

The sad, petty, caustic attitude of so many civil servants will become de rigeur as socialism creeps ever onward.

Company picnics? Office nights at the ballpark? Inviting coworkers to weddings, graduations, etc.?

Various leftist evils will bring work-related social activities to a screeching halt as ‘equality’ and ‘inclusiveness’ are delivered at the point of a bayonet.

We all mock teachers and schools who enforced the ‘if everyone can’t have it then nobody can’ rule but unfortunately too many in our culture think that rule should apply universally.

The really sad thing is that many people hate their employers who pay their wages but love the government who steals a huge portion of their pay.

How many people have ever held a job where the owner of the company was a poor person?

The company we now work for also gives our hard earned wages to Gaza, Darfur, etc. $900 Million going to Gaza. Where’s the Arab countries in all this? Our people starve while our government supports those connected to Hamas.

When we watch “The Office”, I tell my kids that no real company is run that poorly and stupidly, or else it would not be in business very long. “However,” I tell them, “that Office is run just like any government agency is run. You have to suck up to a boss who is an idiot, real talent and initiative is stifled, and there is no penalty for not being productive or for not producing a profit.”

“Office is run just like any government agency is run”

IMHE: “most or many” might be more appropriate.

I stand corrected. I agree, some are well-run. Our military is better at what it does than any private company, especially in comparison with its rivals. It’s just that when you combine lifetime employment with no profit motive, you create skewed incentives and priorities.

And the military is run by DoD - a civilian organization

a civilian organization

Like the DMV? Post Office? Traffic court? Social Services? Street Department? Federal bureaucracies, like HHS, State, DOE, USDA, etc. etc. There are a few agencies that have a history of professionalism--the FBI, DOJ, DOD, NASA, for example--but the Dems have done their best to screw even them up.
