Sounds good to me. Unlike the democrats, Republicans should NEVER reward failure.

This type of thinking will give people someone to vote for rather than someone vote against next time.

They need to do this, as the California Republican Party has done. Those republicans in the state legislator who voted for tax increase will receive no money from the party to run for reelection. The national party should do the same to this three turncoats.

Steele “open to”...

That is about as effective as shaking his finger, real hard, at Spectre, Snowe and Collins.

Love it. Let folks know there are consequences to their actions. Nothing wrong with voting your “conscience” but sometimes the bigger picture has to be viewed - ignore it at your peril.

I’m not going to hold my breath but admit it would be sweet to see those three booted.

Right you are. Steele will swap spits with the states GOP leadership.

Business as usual.

Oh...I don't know. I think he really wants to do what's right. I think he will try with our support.

The Republican party needs to stick together and get rid of the RINO mindset. If we wanted democrats, we'd vote for democrats. I think maybe the Republicans are figuring this out.

He could have said “no”, but this is only slightly better IMHO. He was really laying this at the feet of the Republican party establishment in Maine and PA to take care of this.

I am not politically astute on state politics in ME and PA, so is there any chance of getting any of these three out during their next election bid?

I don’t see any leadership here.

...and money doesn’t hurt these three.

The only thing that hurts them is taking their prized Committee positions away.

He is not the person to instigate it but rather to NOT get in the way of the local parties to see that it happens.

The RNC chair is not a dictatorial position.

Tennessee Republicans ousted their Republican in name only, House Speaker Kent Williams from the party Monday, giving up their first majority in 150 years as punishment for banding together with the 49 House Democrats to defeat the GOP-backed candidate. This, combined with another great story of principled GOP leadership today, may be a sign that conservatism is returning to the Republican party on the state level. Kent Williams was the first Republican speaker in the state in 40 years. But party loyalists were angered that he snapped up the top position by joining all 49 Democrats in January to beat...

A realignment needs to take place. They can have Snow, Collins and Specter. We concentrate on taking the seats of Landreau, Blanch-Lincoln and Nelson at a minimum. The North East is a total sink hole in every meaning of the word.

Repub Party called to see how much I was giving this year. I said I will see how much it supports the 3 weasels. They pressed, I dodged. I said I can give anytime. Lets see what happens to the 3 weasels. They apologized I was so angry. I apologized for giving them money to re elect the 3 weasels.

I told them my money will go to individual candidates until they figure out the "right" thing to do. I still remember the Clinton impeachment debacle with this same bunch. They said they would note my displeasure.

It’s a shame that Steele is a gun control advocate. So he will not get any support from me.

I am much more interested in a frontal attack on Obama’s destruction of the nation and plans to take back Congress.

Sometimes when you rate your horse and it lays back too far, it doesn't have time to close at the finish. We are not hearing enough from our Republican leaders. Or, maybe, it is the lack of leadership at all levels that we're witnessing!!
