Does Specter have an Orie primary problem?

While State Senator Jane Orie's sister Joan Orie Melvin is running for the Supreme Court with the endorsement of the Pennsylvania State GOP, it is hard for Jane to capitalize on the grassroots revolt against Arlen Specter for his vote for the stimulus deal.

Jane has been meeting with party leaders talking about her statewide race while Joan is running but she can't be to open about it without hurting Joan's chances. That is why it was surprising to see listed on a the "Burghchair" blog post a brief promoting an upcoming event that listed Jane as a potential U.S. Senator to replace Arlen Specter.

I’d like to see that mayor from Hazleton run for Specter’s seat. I don’t know if he’d win the general election, but at least we’d have a Republican in the race.
