What they are is exactly what Hussein was/is, a "community activist". He doesn't want these problems - he's a lazy, shiftless drifter who wanted an easy run playing president.
What they got however is a serious threat to the continuing economic viability of the welfare state. I've said it many times so far, so I'll say it again: when the $USD fails, the welfare state falls.
When those monthly entitlement/support checks stop coming in the mail, just what do you think the inner-city "Katrinans" are gonna do? The military is going to be called out all right, but to restore social order amongst Hussein's own supporters.
The poetic justice is enough to almost make me believe there is a god.
We know who they are, troll! Been watching them since you were in diapers...
In other words, our society is all an illusion based on nothing more than faith. Destroy that faith, whether it is in man or god, and you revert to the jungle.
That's what Hussein is trying to prevent. All his fanciful plans for "spreading the wealth around" are just that - fantasy. Now he's the guy in charge during one of the most serious economic crises of the last millenium.
That's why I'm astounded at the cosmic poetic justice - the very guy who wanted to expand socialism is going to preside over the destruction of the welfare state.
The only thing left remaining will be self-sufficiency. After the reset, we can get around to fixing the Constitution so this crap never happens again.
And... I like the part about fixing the Constitution.
so Obama isn’t really evil. He’s just the naive, incompetent idiot that he appears to be.
After all, if I was an evil socialist and wanted to make the government ‘work’, I would hire people with some experience at actually running things. Not senators who think they can solve problems with multiple ‘czars,’ task forces and committees.
socialists are parasites. Why do you think the big cities are the bluest? Because that’s where all the big jobs are. Liberals hope they can tax them enough so that they can maintain a big welfare state but the other benefits of the city may outweigh the heavy taxes.
?
I have believed this is a deliberate sabotage followed by takeover attempt for quite some time. Glad to know I am not the isolated right wing nut case that I sometimes worry I have become... LOL!

A report by Fox News, captured in a clip posted on YouTube.com (Must see video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUaY3LhJ-IQ) , showed Waters challenging the president of Shell Oil, John Hofmeister, to guarantee the prices consumers pay will go down if the oil companies are allowed to drill wherever they want off of U.S. shores.
Hofmeister replied: "I can guarantee to the American people, because of the inaction of the United States Congress, ever-increasing prices unless the demand comes down."
The Shell exec said paying $5 at the pump "will look like a very low price in the years to come if we are prohibited from finding new reserves, new opportunities to increase supplies."
Waters responded, in part, "And guess what this liberal would be all about. This liberal will be about socializing uh, um. "
The congresswoman paused to collect her thoughts [for about 5-6 seconds this went on, while her colleagues behind her laughed-etl].
"...would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies. "
The oil executives responded, according to Fox News, by saying they've seen this before, in Hugo Chavez's Venezuela.

"We've been through nearly a dozen hearings where frankly we were trying to fix something that wasn't broke. Mr. Chairman we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac and in particular at Fannie Mae under the outstanding leadership of Mr. Frank Raines."-Rep. Maxine Waters, 2004

I suggest the strategy does not work. It is their goal to get you to give up. Poverty in plenty.
BTTT for later read.....
I find the masses gathered on his inauguration day eerily similar to the masses gathered for Hitler. They have no designs that way, it just works out that way. Every time. They empower the Fascist, he has the design.
The New World Order is Old World Socialism in drag, a free and empowered people stand in the way. We must be destroyed for them to have world power.
America ruined two world wars for the wannabee dictators, this time America will be taken out first.

VENEZUELA: Chavez calls for global offensive for socialism
August 31, 2005
excerpts...
"The environment is suffering damage that could be irreversible global warming, the greenhouse effect, the melting of the polar ice caps, the rising sea level, hurricanes with terrible social occurrences that will shake life on this planet."
"I believe this idea has a strong connection with reality. I don't think we have much time. Fidel Castro said in one of his speeches I read not so long ago, 'tomorrow could be too late, let's do now what we need to do'."
"I believe it is time that we take up with courage and clarity a political, social, collective and ideological offensive across the world a real offensive that permits us to move progressively, over the next years, the next decades, leaving behind the perverse, destructive, destroyer, capitalist model and go forward in constructing the socialist model to avoid barbarism and beyond that the annihilation of life on this planet."
--Hugo Chavez, at the 16th World Festival of Youth and Students, held in Caracas on August 8-15, 2005

Obama climate czar has socialist ties
Group sees 'global governance' as solution
Stephen Dinan, January 12, 2009
Until last week, Carol M. Browner, President-elect Barack Obama's pick as global warming czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.
By Thursday, Mrs. Browner's name and biography had been removed from Socialist International's Web page, though a photo of her speaking June 30 to the group's congress in Greece was still available.

I think they pulled the wool over President Bush’s, and many other Republican’s eyes. They put the fear tactics into high gear, it was the end of President Bush’s term, plus the whole rescue thing dove-tailed nicely with “compassionate conservatism”. That first bailout was a huge mistake, but it came upon everyone so suddenly and they were so ominous about what would happen if it wasn’t implemented, everyone got taken in. Now it’s just one after the other.....
