Angry over the course of the new Republican leadership, House Democrats slinked away late Sunday night, bound for a Holiday Inn in Ardmore, Okla. - just over the state line, and beyond jurisdiction of the Texas Rangers.

Now that you mention it, I remember reading about the Texas Democrat legislators hiding out in Oklahoma when this happened.

"Slinked away..." is a very apt description of their behavior. Wish the Democrats in Washington would do that right about now.

I don't have a working crystal ball, but the way things are headed, I think the DC Dems may actually be running for a border in the not-too-distant future.
