Texas National Guard on ALert
Sodahead ^ | State Sen Dan Patrick

Posted on 02/22/2009 9:31:47 AM PST by djf

Texas State Senator, Dan Patrick, was on FoxNews this morning at 8:45am. He said he had some “breaking news to share”. Boy was it!!! The Texas State Legislature had been trying very hard to get the Obama Administration to respond to a critical situation on the Texas Border. The Administration had not gotten back with Texas as of last night. So the State of Texas told Washington D.C. basically they could go jump, and “we’ll take care of Texas!”. As of last night… the Texas National Guard has been put on High Alert!!! This is the first time in history! Texas tried, desperately to get Washington’s approval… but when they could not get it… they acted on their own. Which I say…. it’s about damn time!!! I personally applaud the guts it took to defy the Fed’s and act in our best interest! In case you are unaware of what the problems are …. Sen. Dan Patrick spelled it out nicely!

1) 100’s of PRO-DRUG CARTEL Mexicans were blocking the entrance to the United States, yesterday and today, banging cars, shouting and holding signs. 10 people were killed Wed. and 12 more yesterday at the border (5 of which were children!!!) 2) They aren’t sure … but they think the Drug Cartel is paying the demonstrators to do what they’re doing. 3) This will spill over into the States! Mr. Patrick, and the other State officials,. are convinced that road-side bombs and car bombs will make it across the border and WILL NOT allow that to happen!! 4) Mexico is breaking out in Civil War in the western part of the border and they expect it to spread the entire border with no end in sight. 5) The National Guard will be activated as the scenario worsens and is on Alert now and will remain so until (and IF) Washington does something to end the danger on the border (Yeah… like that’s gonna happen!).

FoxNews has yet to put this on their website which absolutely ticks me off!!!! I will post it IF they get the stones to do what’s right!

Let’s pray it doesn’t come to this…. but in reality… Texas could be in a Civil War (actually it would be an international incident) with Mexico very soon if this isn’t quelled. Just so you folks know…. the four Militia Groups that are here in Texas will be put on alert this evening. This has gotten REAL, REALLY FAST!

I got this today.

MEXICO TRAVEL POLICY

The security situation in Mexico continues to be volatile and may pose a significant threat to members of the TXMF.

Effective 22 February 2009 all TXMF personnel who are in a Full-Time status ( AGR, ADOS) and any who are in a paid military duty status ( AT, IDT) are prohibited from travel to Mexico for discretionary or personal reasons.

This prohibition involves travel to all of Mexico, including popular tourist destinations. If there is some compelling reason that a person who fits the above parameters needs to travel to Mexico, they must submit a written request through their chain of command for exception to the TXMF Force Protection Office (J3). This request will be evaluated by the Force Protection Officer, and approved or disapproved in writing.

Traditional Guardsmen and other employees (not addressed above) are strongly encouraged to abide by this policy as well. However, if you elect not to follow the travel restrictions, personnel should very carefully review the full State Department travel alert and implement the cautionary practices recommended.

Below is an excerpt from the State Department Official Travel Alert in regards to Mexico. The full alert can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_3028.html

This policy is in effect until 5 March 2009. It will be reassessed every ten days thereafter.

Mexico

February 20, 2009

This Travel Alert updates security information for U.S. citizens traveling and living in Mexico. It supersedes the Travel Alert for Mexico dated October 15, 2008, and expires on August 20, 2009.

While millions of U.S. citizens safely visit Mexico each year (including thousands who cross the land border every day for study, tourism or business), violence in the country has increased recently. It is imperative that travelers understand the risks of travel to Mexico, how best to avoid dangerous situations, and whom to contact if one becomes a crime victim. Common-sense precautions such as visiting only legitimate business and tourist areas during daylight hours, and avoiding areas where prostitution and drug dealing might occur, can help ensure that travel to Mexico is safe and enjoyable.

A number of areas along the border are experiencing rapid growth in the rates of many types of crime. Robberies, homicides, petty thefts, and carjackings have all increased over the last year across Mexico generally, with notable spikes in Tijuana and northern Baja California. Ciudad Juarez, Tijuana and Nogales are among the cities which have recently experienced public shootouts during daylight hours in shopping centers and other public venues. Criminals have followed and harassed U.S. citizens traveling in their vehicles in border areas including Nuevo Laredo, Matamoros, and Tijuana.

The situation in Ciudad Juarez is of special concern. Mexican authorities report that more than 1,800 people have been killed in the city since January 2008. Additionally, this city of 1.6 million people experienced more than 17,000 car thefts and 1,650 carjackings in 2008. U.S. citizens should pay close attention to their surroundings while traveling in Ciudad Juarez, avoid isolated locations during late night and early morning hours, and remain alert to news reports. A recent series of muggings near the U.S. Consulate General in Ciudad Juarez targeted applicants for U.S. visas. Visa and other service seekers visiting the Consulate are encouraged to make arrangements to pay for those services using a non-cash method.

U.S. citizens are urged to be alert to safety and security concerns when visiting the border region. Criminals are armed with a wide array of sophisticated weapons. In some cases, assailants have worn full or partial police or military uniforms and have used vehicles that resemble police vehicles. While most crime victims are Mexican citizens, the uncertain security situation poses serious risks for U.S. citizens as well.

So does this mean we’ll being seeing them armed with actual rounds in their magazines, or is this going to be another Point of Distribution (PoD) for ice and water???

Visions of Ike dancing thru my head...

I will hold out final judgment (on this effort) until I hear of any armed encounters where lots of human smugglers and drug traffickers are sufficiently perforated by 5.56 by these troops...

Seeing how she has not officially announced her running for the job, would you be open to know that there are a couple more people (obviously not announcing as yet) that would be in the race as well???

What do you (or would you) think about Jerry Patterson...If you don’t know, he is not that hard to find out his positions on issues...

In my opinion, if KBH got the nod from Texas for the job, she would not be much different from former democrat Rick Perry...

Just my opinion of course...

I only offer you something fun to go look at here...

“Kooky” would be a big no.
Don’t know anyone else.

Can’t complain about Perry. Texas is in good shape.
although his stance on the border not strong.

I think of KBH is a little JMC type when push comes to shove.
I never get straight answers from her.

Do you know why today in history is a significant date?

God Bless Texas. She may yet be the salvation of our great nation.

Word of caution on those of you who are trying to keep up with this event.

Over the weekend I did a little background check on related topics and wound up on a malitia site in Texas. After briefly looking at the site I moved away and as I did my computer locked up and re-booted. When it re-booted my Symantec anti-virus program stated that I had a Trojan.

The file name was 123.dll that was stated to be infected. I worked on it for a full day on Monday and could not remove it. Used every tool in my tool box, and I have done a lot of this type of trouble shooting.

After using MS malware removal tool, Hijackthis, Adaware, Symantec, and manually removing the offending files listed from a web search, I was about ready to give up. Nothing seemed to work.

Each time I re-booted the problem reappeared. Then I realized the files were being downloaded from the web. They were not on my harddrive, but each time I rebooted they would be downloaded from the web. I checked my theory by unplugging the network cable and re-booting, the problem was no longer there. But if I plugged in the network cable, it reappeared.

Finally on Tuesday morning my companies IT guy got back and suggested I use the following tool to remove it. And it worked. One of the functions requires operating in Safe Mode. (intermitently press F8 key when re-booting)

SmitFraudFix

http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php

It is a command line tool and pretty simple to operate.

I am not sure who put this thing on the website, I downloaded nothing. It may be a Carnivore creature.

Just a word of caution.

Do you idiots actually believe everything posted on the internet? If so, I’ve got swampland for sale, and also will give you a presale discount for carbon credits.
If all this were true-It would be great. If any polictician in Texas did have the guts to do the right thing-La Raza, LULAC, and the ACLU would be all over this! They own our politicians in DC, and they would get those troops off the border immediately.
Rick Perry is the only person in Texas who can dispatch the guard. He does not have the guts. As he said immediately after winning the election; “To build a wall would be too devisive” This comment came after his ENTIRE CAMPAIGN was about building the wall to keep terrorists out!(And in my opinion-every illegal is a financial terrorist!
Somebody out there has nothing to do exept to write lies!
