Green plants release CO2 during the night as part of normal respiration/metabolism of internally stored carbohydrates.

In minimal amounts. You know as well as I do, the process of photo synthesis...nevermind, what is the point of your post?

If carbon emissions are a problem outlaw them, why the F would you have businesses pay the government for them? This is all so insane.

Obama and the Socialist Congress are well on their way to destroying capitalism and freedom. They intend to resurrect the USSR here in the USA.

Barack Hussein Obama will propose a massive business tax on greenhouse gases in his FY 2010 federal budget to be presented this week.

Ah ... so this is Obama's plan to destroy the transportation industry.

So will Air Force One be forced to pay a tax for the CO2 it generates? How about all federal equipment??

Fedex and UPS and every truck line will go out of business on this one.

Not to mention that humans actually exhale C02. Taxed for breathing.

Relax, guys. The tax will be implemented only if these businesses EXCEED a certain amount of gases.

Yes and of the 300 Billion per year that would supposedly be collected, 299.999 will have to go to the bureaucracy needed to administer this new IRS style organization.

Hussein is determined to fulfill his mission of destroying the American economy.

This is exactly how we have to talk about what he and the Congress are doing. They are not incompetent dilettantes making stupid and rookie mistakes. They are evil leftists who are running the playbook—undermine confidence in the financial system, cripple free enterprise, make more people dependent on government, silence dissent...

Long past time for people to wake up.

“Since companies would pass their costs on to customers, Mr. Obama would have the government use most of the revenues for relief to families to offset higher utility “

This is another Marxist wealth confiscation and redistribution scheme.

The point is that nearly every living thing releases CO2 as part of normal respiration. It is NOT a pollutant. It is NOT appropriate for the thieving government to tax us for what is a completely normal process.

People have to be told about the results of any energy tax like 0bama is talking about. It’ll kill their jobs and it’ll kill their budgets. People should be educated that to avoid wrecking the economy, they should tell their congresscritters that if they pass this energy bill or anything like it, their Congressional careers will end at their next election.

That quote explains it all, doesn’t it?

Unfortunately for him and the liberals, they aren’t expecting this will p!ss off a majority of people everywhere and they will force a liberal Congress to not play along.

I take it you haven't checked out the level at which the tax kicks in?

Carbon is the basic building block of life. Plants need CO2 to live.

Again, please tell me how carbon is bad.

"Businesses don’t own the sky, the public does, and if we want them to stop polluting it, we have to put a price on all pollution."

Businesses are made up of the public, and they have more right to the sky than the federal government does.
