PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter was greeted with jeers at a press conference in Cranberry Township.
Conservatives are fuming after Specter cast the deciding vote that led to the passage of President Barack Obama's stimulus plan.
Specter, 79, acknowledges his run for re-election will be tough.
He says he's not completely happy with Obama's plans but he points out that he was able to cut the price tag by over $100 billion and he says he was able to increase the amount of tax cuts.
Even so, Specter acknowledges the Republican Party's conservative wing will attempt to unseat him in next year's primary race.
Six years ago, Specter barely won the Republican primary, but he says he's not afraid to fight for the job one more time.
Tough....THOUGH? Hey Magic bullet man....Even now that he's dead Travis the Chimp would have no trouble beating you.
Senator...You sir...are DONE!
I wonder if this was a FReep...

IMPEACH OBAMA AND SPECTRE
This bastard will die in office, don’t blame him, blame the stupid SOB’s that keep sending him back to DC and the RNC and national GOP which should have run him out on a rail 10 years ago.
If this scum thought he was going to have a tough time getting elected before the porkulus he should of had the sack to vote against this thing. He is going to be toast either way.
AMEN
24/7/365
And, I hope he hears it in his dreams.
treason is treason no matter your justification. Ban him from the party at least.
SCREW these moronic idiots. NOBODY calls me a coward and gets away with it....WAR!!!!
Bingo! You got it.
Die, you bastard Spectre, JUST DIE ALREADY!!! YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO THE CONSTITUTION! TRAITOR!
If Fast Eddie smells blood, he’ll run against Arlen.
The Republicans had better find a candidate and start running ads before July 4th.
(And Santorum isn’t the one!)
I didn’t realize he was that old. I suppose it would be impossible to pass a law requiring Congresscritters to retire at age 65 but think of the deadwood it would help clear out: Specter, Pelosi, Kennedy, Byrd, and tons more. All these career politicians who have feathered their beds and ensured success for their scions behind them. We would move from a de facto oligarchy to a real republic again.
I have a higher chance of becoming the next senator from Pennsylvania. And considering the fact that I am not from the state and have no intentions of running for public office, I’d say that my chances are pretty slim. ;-)
Its the voters in Philly, Harrisburg and Pitts that keep putting him in office....the rest of the state wants him done away with....but who are we going to run against him that can take care of those three cities???
Spot on!!
The local news said that Specter said to the protestors that they would just have to agree to disagree.
I was looking for a better description of this, but couldn’t find one online yet.
Gotta love western PA, they know an A-hole when they see one. Shame is Philly and the Dems can elect Magic Bullet. We need to get the jerk in the primaries.
