As I said, being forewarned is a good thing. Warnings are not a bad thing. One should know what they’re getting into, don’t you agree? Any form of Civil Disobedience should be undertaken with complete knowledge of what you are putting on the line when you do so, IMHO. Perhaps he had not heard someone was already searched for a sign such as that? And, perhaps he personally wouldn’t want to subject himself to that. There is nothing wrong with telling him that in someone else’s opinion it might be a bad idea, and not a way they would conduct themselves.
