But, But, I don't understand. The Hollywood elite tell us we don't pay enough taxes-Barbara Streisand has long maintained that we Americans are under taxed (I wonder if she included herself in that group).

As Mexikaliforniastan slowly sinks into the Pacific, the Good Ship Arnold sails off too Hawaii with his Marxist Dimocrat wife in hand. California is a losing battle. Worse than the rest of the country. As long as Marxists there are going to continue to fund the illegals trade for cheap labor, it will sink further and further and further. Too conservatives there, GET THE HELL OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!!

It's a good thing...trust me

The libs have this state just the way they like it. Any state we move to will strengthen the Conservative base in that state. See, a silver lining (yeah, right)

Consider good water when choosing. After that, consider the growing climate for your garden. Make sure you buy property that is on high ground, preferably with a good southern exposure, a slight slope to the land going south is a good spot for your garden at the top of the slope.

Berry bushes and Fruit trees a plus. A well with a hand pump a plus. A good bunch of friendly neighbors also a plus. The ability to keep chickens and other farm animals a plus...

Happy hunting

Come on down south. Stay out of Florida. Too many people crowding in there now. Alabama, GA are nice also.

“Utah needs to be unmormonized.”

A very classy remark. We’re all very impressed with your Christian values.

Alabama HAS a beach in Mobile. Much closer than Utah.

The problem with California refugees moving to other states is that they settle in to make the other states like California. Maybe they should undergo treatment for liberal pathologies before being allowed to participate in politics elsewhere.

I hate to say this people, but as California goes...so goes the rest of the country. You can’t hide in Ten. Tex. Utah. Obama is gonna get you too.

The worse part is when this idiotic plan goes under, our taxes to the federal government will bail them out. So don't think it's only the Californians who will pay for this. It's bad enough that certain states want to be stupid and waste money, but what's worse is that we all eventually bail them out for their stupid decisions. Just like irresponsible businesses, we should be able to let these irresponsible states go under. Only then will the people get mad enough to enact real change

I’m afraid that there will be many like your brother; successful, enterpreneurs who will leave CA yet bring w/them the same politics and sensibilites that made them leave in the first place.

Go figure.

I have a few ideas what the “Red, new” America’s constitution should have in it’s Bill of Rights (in no particular order):

* English is the official language of the nation
* Citizenship is not an automatic right even if you are born here
* Use of the ‘Poll Tax’
* No restrictions on the ‘Right to Bear Arms’
* Supreme Court/Federal Court/all judges are either appointed/elected for ‘x’ terms or ‘x’ years. No more of this lifetime appointment crap (apologies to great jurists like Scalia)
* Term limits on all elected officials
* No Democratic/liberal/etc. party

Basically, just do the opposite of what is done in Massachusetts - it will work out great!!!!!!

We have a few beaches down here. Dauphin Island off Mobile. Part of the “Redneck Riviera” at Orange Beach and Gulf Shores in Baldwin County (just east of Mobile and West of Pensacola). Some nice beaches just west of Mobile in Biloxi and Gulport MS (They also have high rise Casino/Hotels).By the way, Mobile was just recently ranked 6th in the top 20 Real Estate GROWTH markets in the U.S. Biloxi MS was 1st. Lots of Military and Retired Military in these areas.
