Joining with the other sovereign state legislation, Texas Rep. Creighton files concurrent resolution which states: WHEREAS, Many federal laws are directly in violation of the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; and...{snip}
WHEREAS, A number of proposals from previous administrations and some now pending from the present administration and from congress may further violate the Constitution of the United States; now, therefore, be it{snip}
RESOLVED, That this serve as notice and demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That all compulsory federal legislation that directs states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or sanctions or that requires states to pass legislationor lose federal funding be prohibited or repealed;
No, they all drowned trying to cross the Red River.
Just read the resolution: the wording of the New Hampshire resolution was better.
This one makes no mention of the 9th Amendment.
It'd sure be a good start!
You might be tested in their proper operation though...
LOL!

I wish that river would drown more unwanted pests coming the other way. Just kidding, I don’t have anything against Texans, for the most part.
LOL! I live in West Texas.
I moved out of a (rented) house in the “country” because every time we got a bit of moisture, Tarantulas would come up out of the ground right in the front and side yards.
Not to mention the Scorpions on the upper door frames.
Living in town, I haven't seen any tarantulas, still a few scorpions though.
I fly that Flag at home!
I get to see it every day where I work as well.
Come and Take it!
:-)
If secession happens, a huge long-shot, I hope they include a provision for displaced Texans to return. My family has ranched in east Texas and later the panhandle since before the War of Northern Aggression (civil war).
“It’s about time! “
Amen!
I'm still a newcomer to Texas, but by God, the people here *are* proud of this state. Every retailer has some sort of item emblazoned with the star, they even have it in the leaded glass entry doors that you can buy at Home Depot! Nice to see the old "Don't Mess With Texas" slogan is more than an anti-littering bumper sticker. There's definitely something here - pugnacious but polite - that has survived these many years. How refreshing.
I lived in the dreaded state of Kansas for a while in the late 80’s early 90’s most miserable time of my life.
It’s good to be home. I will never leave again!
I told em in Kansas as I was leaving.
Yall can go to hell and I’m going to Texas!
I am TOTALLY against secession, we must take the entire United States back from the Commies.
I have a relative who is an agent in the Houston area. Where were you thinking about looking? Texas is mighty big ;-)
Now that one I am confident we can handle.
Texas Sovereignty ping.
Oklahoma is OK. That comes from a native Texan who lived in OK for 7 years. I would move back in a minute. Great People.
OK was where Sam Houston went when things got bad. Back with the Indians.
Should have pinged you too.
Thank you so much!
Could you add me to your ping list?
