One current and five former students are suing East Stroudsburg University, claiming a top administrator pursued unwanted sex with them – including genital groping and oral sex – and school officials covered up his alleged crimes.

The chief object of the complaint is Isaac Sanders, the ousted executive director of the ESU Foundation and vice president for advancement at the university.

The six plaintiffs, identified by their initials, allege that Sanders harassed, intimidated and touched them between 2003 and 2008.

“Sanders’ inappropriate and unlawful sexual conduct toward plaintiffs and other young, African American students at ESU was blatant, open and notorious,” the complaint read.

Sanders served as the highest-ranking black official on campus. He and ESU President Robert Dillman, also named as a defendant, were close friends, and Sanders parlayed his status at ESU to gain trust and compel silence among his alleged victims, according to the complaint.

Thank you for that page. I did not know there was such a thing.

I left the Catholic church because of those events.

FYI

I would add to this discussion that the recent (2005) Vatican instruction “Concerning the Criteria for the Discernment of Vocations with Regard to Persons with Homosexual Tendencies in View of Their Admission to the Seminary and to Holy Orders.” addresses the issues in question head on. It is sad that this instruction was not around and or followed when any with such tendencies were initially considering vocation...

You have a lot of company.

A lot depends though on which diocese you were in and how infested they became with liberalism/heterodoxy. The liberal revisionism in the Church went hand in hand with homosexual infiltration.

I used to be an Episcopalian, became a Catholic. I was very impressed with the action the Catholic archdiocese here took on the molestation scandal. The vicar-general came down like a ton of bricks -- there were two priests identified. One went to prison, one went to a remote monastery where he died. The victimized families were given apologies and compensation. To wind it all up, the vicar-general visited every parish and informed the priests and deacons that if he got word of any more such misconduct, he would personally beat the hell out of any perpetrator before turning him directly over to the police. Since he was a large Irishman with no neck and hands like hams, he was taken pretty seriously.

No hiding, shuffling, or excuses going on here. Which directly affected our decision to be received into the Church. (As you can imagine, the only reason that the Episcopalian homosexual priests haven't been pilloried in the media is that the media is on their side.)

Actually, there WAS such an instruction, dating to the early 1960s as I recall.

The problem was that a number of American bishops decided they knew better than the Vatican and didn't follow it.

The reissuance is more of a "Yes, we really meant it."

Since BXVI was involved as soon as the cases were referred to Rome, I would expect him to short-circuit any dodges that were tried by the lavender mafia. He is certainly clever enough and familiar enough with Vatican politics to close any boltholes left by the earlier version.

Thank you for posting that, Palladin.

Darwin fish, you are not alone. You will be surprised how many people are registered with SNAP, including people in from your parish.

Thank you, I hadn’t seen this site.

“Crosby, Donald J. - Accused in 1970s of abusing teenage girls at a Utica Catholic School. Reported to Msgr. H. Charles Sewall (now known abuser) but Sewall apparently did not report. Nothing found in Crosby’s files. Voluntarily left priesthood in 1975 and laicized in 1980. Working as school guidance counselor in 2003 but resigned shortly after school learned from the DA’s office about old allegations. One woman said her mother reported the abuse to the Diocese in the 1990s but no record found. Died 1/04.”

Un-freaking-believable.

Also knew this guy:

“Neary, Thomas E.-Man claimed Neary raped him at least 100 times over two years. Original accusation against Neary was made at a State Senate Hearing in Albany in 5/03. Diocese would not discuss case but said they offered to pay the man’s counseling bills. As of 1/04 diocese had paid $3000 in counseling bills. Neary died 9/01 at age 83. He had retired in 1995. 2008 articles reference numerous victims who have not made public allegations.”

I see the corruption went all the way to the top in our diocese. No wonder nothing was ever done.

Hey, what is the big deal—this is part of the lifestyle and we must be tolerant of these disgusting degenerates. Ultimately, this form of sexual deviance and harrassment will be exalted and codified into law. At least there was no mention of the rimming and felching techniques—visit a freak parade in San Fran and see a public demonstration.

One of the deacons there was a big leader in our boy scout troop. Troop 179. Popular guy with the boys, including me. Rick Authere (sp) was his name. Met him again around 19 or so, with some friends. Led three of us upstairs in his house, fed us booze. Plenty of porn mags. I left when the films came out. Won’t even say here on this board what was shown.””

I lived in the bay area of San Fran for 6 years. This is a routine used by every male homosexual on the planet. These events were frequently reported and prosecuted back in the 70s, now, they are never mentioned and are largely accepted as the norm. No behavior is beneath these deviants.

I wasn’t present when an adult queer was masterbating in front of a group of junior high kids in the boys bathroom after school, but I heard about it from the 3 boys present. This guy was hauled to jail and never seen again. This coming out of the closet event occurred in the early 60s when the bigots failed in their tolerance. sarc
