Whoops. From MSNBC

Told that no Republican backed the measure, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs reacted by citing another number: "3.5 million jobs that we look forward to saving or creating."

Well done by the Republicans to hold together against this incredible pig of a bill, and also well done by the seven Democrats brave enough to face the wrath of the radically left House leadership.

You’re right. But I still think the Senate Republicans need someone like Eric Cantor to shout those one percenters into line with the rest of the Republicans.

I propose that when this bill passes, we all mail some raw pork to the offices of Pelosi and Reid. Just a few slices of bacon would do. By the time it gets to them, it should be good and stinky and rancid, just like their “stimulus.”

There’s gotta be a McCain connection somewhere!

{In any event, he didn’t do it.}

I believe Kennedy is down in Florida and the Senate is not expecting him to vote. Another Dem. senator, Brown, will be flying in after a memorial for his mother to cast the deciding vote. That’s why those three Rep. senate votes are important to the Dems.

I think the Founding Fathers have been rolling in their graves for quite some time now. It wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve worn a hole in the bottom of their coffins.

A sad day for the USA.

To “go Arlen,” wouldn’t he have had to vote “Not proven”?

wasn’t there a Vietnamese American Rep who stated he was going to vote for this?? I should have book marked the thread with his name.

Yeah Josepah Cao said he was thinking about voting yay.

But it turns out that he didn't so there goes his tiny chance of getting re-elected in his heavily Democrat district but he has earned my respect.

New Orleans Rep. Anh “Joseph” Cao was the only Republican member who had signaled a willingness to support the bill, but he said he decided this morning that the package was too expensive and wouldn’t do enough to create jobs in his distirct.
