I guess you didn't read my full post, which condluded with: "though I think it’s a dubious claim at best to suggest that Darwin’s natural selection theory is responsible."

That didn't stop you from trying to deny the links between the Bible and the bloodshed I mentioned. There is at least as solid connection with that as there is with the despots mentioned.

If God is an architect, Darwin is his general contractor.

God WAS the creator. Darwin was nothing. He created NOTHING. He had opinions. Nothing else. Something we all have, opinions. God had the answers to all questions. God created this world. I did not come from some damned monkey. I was created by a man and a woman, whom came from God.

Deposing Islamist terrorist despots of course. Not politically correct, but a fact nevertheless.

And of course the Christian leaders were all paragons of democracy themselves.

Thank you ex-hippie. I don’t understand why if you believe in evolution you are by definition Godless?

Darwinism has been used as the moral justification for so many bad ideas.

This may (or may not) be so. But it has no bearing on whether evolutionary theory is true.

Darwin’s theory is natural selection, not theistic selection.

"...any more than it would be possible for the leaders of the Crusades..."

The only thing that the leaders of the crusades should apoplgize for is leaving a single muslam terrorist alive. Had they cleansed the Earth of islam then, hundreds of millions of productive people would have lived.

Agreed, but it is a dangerous theory when in the hands of evil people. The bible on the other hand has to be perverted in order for evil people to abuse it for power while natural selection is useful for evil in its original form.

"He was a hero for the scientific method."

He was no such thing. He was a lazy, inobservant, invidious fool.

If Islam were removed, the devil would reintroduce it with another name. It is simply the oldest lie redressed.

“I guess that puts neither evolutionists nor creationists in a position to criticize each other for relying on faith.”

No, it merely points out that it takes faith to believe in either one.

Hitler was a “Christian,” by the way

That is a total lie, BTW. Hitler was an occultist, and a kabbalist.

We should all celebrate God’s having sent His servant, Charles Darwin, to help overturn the errors of fundamentalism and improve our knowledge and understanding of the natural world.

Every dangerous take on Darwin I have seen represents a total perversion of his views. He was opposed to eugenics, opposed to abortion, adamantly opposed to slavery. A lot of people do not know this, as he is routinely misrepresented.

In terms of evolutionary theory as we know it today, I see your point that knowledge can be dangerous. But I think in the final analysis, ignorance is worse!

“He was a hero for the scientific method.”

No, he is the destroyer of the scientific method.

Darwinism has almost destroyed the scientific method because the ability to test under controlled conditions has been left behind when discussing the TOE.

Adaptation can be demonstrated under controlled conditions and there is no significant argument about whether it takes place or not because it can be tested. Not so with the TOE, it can’t be tested according to the scientific method.

“We should all celebrate God’s having sent His servant, Charles Darwin”

It’s odd that you should say that about Darwin, since he didn’t consider himself God’s servant to bring truth to the world.
