Since war crimes are high crimes punishable by death, the ultimate punishment is usually hanging by the neck until dead.
It is a macabre way of putting a hangmans noose around their neck.

This ties in with Patrick Leahy’s half-baked proposal to form a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to investigate the alleged crimes of the Bush administration.
What’s next? We’ll stage show trials in a kangaroo court, of Bush and his administration, and send them off to a Gulag????????
Why don’t these good Democrats investigate war crimes committed by Democrats? Have these Democrats ever had a truth commission investigate FDR’s executive order to round up Japanese-Americans during World War 2, for example? Have they ordered a truth commission to investigate the bombing of Dresden or the use of the atomic bomb against Japan? Some liberal radical types have said that all of these were war crimes by America. Investigate away, even if people involved are now dead. If they are good Democrats, they will investigate!
Have they ever investigated LBJ and the Gulf of Tonkin resolution and the build up to the Vietnam War? Some evidence there points to less than honest reporting of what really happened at that flash point to the escalation of the war by a good Democrat.
Investigate the KKK background of their own Robert Byrd.
Investigate the Democrat party ties to the KKK in the past.
There are tons of ideas for investigations.
John Conyers has introduced his bill again this year to investigate reparations for slavery. Now that he has a Democrat congress and a Democrat president, that particular investigation may go forward.
