Pennsylvania is a lost cause. A majority of people there decided that government is the solution.

Excuse me, poly-sci professor Bauer, but explain to me again how voting for a bad bill is good for the economy?!?

I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to say this....
I’m personally aghast at the trivialization of the Governing Process in this Nation into ‘political strategy and tactics’...
Now that Principles (non-negotiable, line-in-the-sand) have fallen out of any discussion, in favor of constantly shifting Positions, Policies, and Political Maneuvering, this Nation has become a ship adrift without a compass.....

Yes...but if this is all true...why is he a Republican?
Why is he using Republican Party money and asking President Bush to come to his aid to get himself elected? Why doesn't he just come out of the closet and run as a Liberal Democrat? What is he afraid of....like maybe he couldn't get elected if he ran as a liberal?
To: Dr. Scarpetta
In Brauers estimation, Specters vote was strategically sound and can be used as a future talking point about how he put the good of the economy and Pennsylvania ahead of any political party. No, he put 'clean coal' subsidies and hope in a nonexistent cure from embryonic stem cells before PA and his country (trust me, i've heard him... he hasn't read it, Obama told us the coal industry will die from the expense and regs he'll put on). The Lord gave him a second chance and he still doesn't get it; You can't have two masters.
I always drive down to stump on weekends during election run-ups... this time i'm moving down to make sure he loses. Until then, I will call everyone of his offices, email his staffers, fax and call shows as usual.

Political Science professors, studying the art of deception and using their degrees to push BS on the people. Experts in economics, foreign affairs, psychology, medicine, law, history (All of human history, not just political), engineering, climate, and bull feces. Should be trusted with your life. Warning, some might be very verbose so proceed with caution.
By the way, not a professor yet but I am working on a political science degree. I know several types of the species well enough. Of course the fairest and most open minded species are the conservative kind, but hey, the are not threatened by their passion for liberty. The collectivist raise hell and lower your grade if you even question there ideology.

Oh yes, it has become the “smart” thing to do .... vote against the will of your constituents. Why do we even call these people representatives? Why do these people think that they are elected to “rule” over us. When the attitude of our representatives becomes this arrogant (as Specter) there needs to be a means to “recall” and remove them from office.
To: Dr. Scarpetta
Wow, radical liberal professors support a vote for a radical liberal bill. That’s earth-shattering news.

Voting for the massive Pork Bill does help one political party and that is the Socialist. It does little if anything good for the Country now and definetly hurts the country later.

But thanks to Specters moderate voting record, his pro-choice stance and his success in bringing home millions upon millions of dollars to Pennsylvania, Specter has always been able to siphon votes from Democrats and secure those of moderate Republicans.Fat lotta good.

conservative Republican will undoubtedly challenge Specter in the primary next year, said Keystone College political science professor Jeff Brauer. In Brauers estimation, Specters vote was strategically sound and can be used as a future talking point about how he put the good of the economy and Pennsylvania ahead of any political party. Tom Baldino, political science professor at Wilkes University, agreed with Brauer that the vote was a very smart thing to do. Where are they digging these bozos up to comment?? i am from PA and never heard of these schools. Not that i'd be any more impressed with their opinions were they from Villanova, Penn State or Pitt [my alma mater] but good grief!

His vote is actually very stupid because he will have to spend all his resources fighting a difficult primary battle only to lose to the Democrat. Good riddance to RINO.
