Obama foolishly took on Rush Limbaugh----which highlighted "porkulus" and gave the Repubs a leg up---and the ability to define the boondoggle.

That stupid move led to Obama's current problems getting porkulus passed---AMONG DEMOCRATS.

Obama's COS Rahm Emanuel, figured by uttering the phrase "we won" meant they could get away with murder, that America would kneel in obeisance whenever they spoke. That ain't happening by a longshot.

TIPOFF was when Obama went public to explain the screw-up---nominating tax-cheat Daschle. Obama was talking to his adoring supporters----who were expecting MUCH MUCH more from him than several tax cheaters appointees, and 17 lobbyists who got jobs in his admin.

OBAMA'S BASE God-fearing Black church-goers who voted for Obama are teed-off----one of the reasons Daschle is out. Obama's adoring supporters turned the tables on him.

God-Fearing Black church-goers who voted for Obama are struggling to survive, working 2-3 jobs to feed and house their families........while tax cheats get cushy gov't jobs with perks and privileges.

We need to blast-mail Black churchgoer groups to get the word out.

The porkulus needs to be stopped. Too bad it won’t happen. The 3 R Senators should pull their support so that this whole spending exercise (socialism masked as a stimulus bill) will be wholly owned by the Dems. No R votes in the House. There should be no R votes in the Senate.

Jim, keep up the good work. I saw the video of your visit to Senator Specter’s office. Very impressive. Hopefully it will be effective.

I see no sign of that whatsoever. And FWIW, NO "God-Fearing" Church goer of any color would be a member of "Obama's Base".

Obama's base consists of people who worship Obama, not God.

I sent this to all of the Senate staffers in the offices of Specter, Casey, Snowe, Collins, and threw in Ben Nelson, supposedly a "conservative" Senator from Nebraska, as well.

Dear Senator [name]'s Senate Staffers,

Please inform my Senator, [name], that the so-called "Stimulus" is like a display cart at Dollar City of unrelated items, some great bargains, some damaged and some useless, packaged together for quick sale.

It's a farrago of undebated programs, projects, proposals and loose ends, a hodgepodge of "whatevers" ---

• $300 million for "Neighborhood Electric Vehicles"?

• "National Coordinator of Health Information Technology?”

• Virtually unaccountable millions for "education" (did we ever find out what Obama's $100 million Chicago Annenberg Challenge actually accomplished for education?)

Plus hundreds of billions of dollars that won't even be spent in 2009. If that's the case, what's the big rush? Why can't we unpack this bill and actually analyze how we can get the most effective, fiscally-responsible result for every buck -- or every billion?

Please let's reject this reckless Omnibus-Spendibus approach and go back to evaluating each and every option like responsible grown-ups who know what the word "budget" means.

Please, Senator [name].

This "Stimulus" is a panic buy. It will only result in buyers' remorse --- and voter wrath when the bill comes due.
