It was apparent by his remarks at his press conference that Obama was standing over Pelosi’s shoulder when she cobbled together this legislative monstrosity. There's never been any doubt as to where Pelosi stands. But Monday night Obama revealed himself as an extortionist who will use his pulpit to negatively impact the world economy until Democrats are paid off. If this overrated token has his way the final version of the stimulus will cost more than World War II. God save us.

I don’t see what all the angst is about. The Dims only need a simple majority vote in the Senate now (they do not have to worry about a filibuster), and they do not need the three RINOs or Nelson. The only thing they want is cover (i.e., haing some Republican names on the bill) so when the damn thing collapses they can point to the Three RINOs and scream: “The Repoublicans signed on to it, too!”
