Selling bullets may be the most secure job in Florida as long as supplies last.
After months of heavy buying, gun dealers across the state are experiencing shortages.
Some say it began with the election of President Barack Obama. Others say it's about the economic downturn or fear of crime. Whatever the reasons, ammunition has been selling like plywood and bottled water in the days before a hurricane.

My Walmart has been consistently low on 9mm, 38 and forget 12 guage 00.
Hey leave a little for the rest of us, I'm sure one or two pallets is enough for you... ;-)
I wonder if that’s what the local dealer is selling.
Yugo, brass, 1120 rds in two tuna cans & a wooden box.
"Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God"
Reverse side of the First Committee U.S. seal proposal.
The first committee consisted of Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams.
Franklin chose an allegorical scene from Exodus, described in his notes as "Moses standing on the Shore, and extending his Hand over the Sea, thereby causing the same to overwhelm Pharaoh who is sitting in an open Chariot, a Crown on his Head and a Sword in his Hand. Rays from a Pillar of Fire in the Clouds reaching to Moses, to express that he acts by Command of the Deity." Motto, "Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God."
George - you must be shopping at the same WM that I am... NO 9mm, NO .45 ACP. Not a good situation!
I’m running low on ammo, too. I need to go stock up.
You are probably right, at the rate we are going, bullets are going to be the new currency.
In Texas, I’m having lots of problems finding .45 ACP and buckshot. Lots of birdshot, but the ammo shelves are looking like Mother Hubbard.
If I ever need more than 1000 rounds of ammunition, we have a bigger problem than I can solve with a gun.

Good to know there are some still awake.
Just in case anyone in the area is interested
That's why I laugh when I see folks on some boards shy away from corrosive ammo.
If I'm looking to buy ammo in 1,000rd lots, I certainly won't care if it's corrosive or not if I have to crack open the tin.

They just got some Federal .223/5.56 in. It will be gone fast, if you need it, get it. Only place I’ve seen any today. I like to see how the ammo supply is going, it gives me an idea of how panicky people are getting.
bump...

Bullets we got here in Cali. What I can’t find are primers and ammo.
And all of the on-line joints are out of the bulk stuff: you have to order by the box. This is putting a crimp in my style, big time!
No, I practice all the time with ammunition that I buy as I need it. The case lots are just my reserve that I don't tap into. I hope to leave them to my son, unopened.
