I just visited with a school teacher from Lewisville while I was up for the Nascar race. She’s a friend of my best friend here where I live.
I wish all the children and teachers well, this is a tough situation.
Iran is going to get its hands on nuclear weapons.
One way or the other.

IRGC-Qods Force (IRGC-QF): The Qods Force, a branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC; aka Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps), provides material support to the Taliban, Lebanese Hizballah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC).
The Qods Force is the Iranian regime’s primary instrument for providing lethal support to the Taliban. The Qods Force provides weapons and financial support to the Taliban to support anti-U.S. and anti-Coalition activity in Afghanistan. Since at least 2006, Iran has arranged frequent shipments of small arms and associated ammunition, rocket propelled grenades, mortar rounds, 107mm rockets, plastic explosives, and probably man-portable defense systems to the Taliban. This support contravenes Chapter VII UN Security Council obligations. UN Security Council resolution 1267 established sanctions against the Taliban and UN Security Council resolutions 1333 and 1735 imposed arms embargoes against the Taliban. Through Qods Force material support to the Taliban, we believe Iran is seeking to inflict casualties on U.S. and NATO forces.

Qods Force Founded to Export the Islamic Revolution
The Qods (Jerusalem) Force was formally set up as a special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the late 1980s to facilitate the export of the Islamic revolution beyond Iran’s borders. From that point onward, when the IRGC operated abroad, it did so in the framework of the Qods Force. Today the Qods Force’s ideological and strategic link to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad must be understood in the context of Ayatollah Khomeini’s initial ideological and strategic decision to establish the IRGC in February 1979 in order to protect his revolutionary regime and to operate in neighboring countries. Khomeini’s strategy was to set up a separate military command structure linked tightly to the new Islamic leadership in Iran, whose loyalty to the revolution would not be in doubt. At the time, the regular Iranian armed forces were still suspected of containing elements loyal to the former regime of the Shah.
The IRGC thus operated as a parallel force to the regular Iranian military and came to be entrusted with operating the regime’s most sensitive forces and weapon systems, including weapons of mass destruction, Iran’s ballistic missile program, and its foreign insurgency operations. These foreign operations already began under Ayatollah Khomeini. For example, Sheikh Naim Qassem was a founding member of Hizbullah and now serves as its deputy secretary-general; in his book on the organization’s history, he details how Iranian official backing for its establishment “was manifested through the dispatch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard to Lebanon.”7 The IRGC set up and supervised training camps for Hizbullah in the Bekaa area; Qassem does not even try to distance the Iranian regime from any of this activity. During this period the IRGC was Ayatollah Khomeini’s “prime vehicle for exporting the revolution in all its different forms.”8
Iran’s current supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s personal commitment to the IRGC began during the Iran-Iraq war when, as Iran’s president between 1981 and 1989, he was the regime’s most senior political figure directly involved in the strategic directives of IRGC and Qods Force operations. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was a commander in the IRGC during the Iran-Iraq war, and subsequently became a senior commander in the IRGC’s Qods Force.9

When Ayatollah Khomeini launched his human wave attacks of children, armed only with pink plastic keys to paradise around their necks, this terrifying tactic turned the corner in Iran-Iraq war. It was according to some reports Ahmadinejad that trained the children and purchased some 500,000 pink plastic keys from Taiwan.
“Bangladesh or Pakistan”

” . . .Officials don’t have a definite idea of where the outbreak began. On Wednesday, Dr. Lezana said that among the first victims was a Bangladeshi man who worked as a street vendor in Mexico City and got sick in early April. The man, whose identity wasn’t disclosed, met his brother in Merida, Yucatan, in early April and returned to Mexico City. His brother, who is either from Bangladesh or Pakistan, may have been ill, he said.”

” . . .Medical detectives have not zeroed in on where the outbreak began. One of the seven deaths in Mexico directly attributed to swine flu was that of a Bangladeshi immigrant, said Mexico’s chief epidemiologist, who suggested that someone could have brought the virus from Pakistan or Bangladesh.
Miguel Angel Lezana, the epidemiologist, said the unnamed Bangladeshi had lived in Mexico for six months and was recently visited by a brother who arrived from Bangladesh or Pakistan and was reportedly ill. The brother has left Mexico and his whereabouts are unknown, Lezana said.
By March 9, the first symptoms were showing up in the Mexican state of Veracruz, where pig farming is a key industry in mountain hamlets and where small clinics provide the only health care.”
I remember reading about that. I agree with you that Iran will get nuclear weapons, if they don't already have them. Ahmadinejad is just itchin for the 12th iman to climb out of the well.
I assume you saw this on the main FR page:
To Bomb, Or Not To Bomb Iran
Thanks for the Texas updates. Please do keep us posted.
FYI ping to # 723.
That is very interesting.
I thought that it would have to be a perfect situation for the three viruses to mutate to become this H1N1 strain.
BTW, Biden’s interview where he said he would tell his family not to use public transportation is now in damage control.
Biden now blaming his swine flu panic attack on foot in mouth disease, for which we know there is no cure.

LONDON (Reuters) - Dead pigs in China, evil factory farms in Mexico and an Al Qaeda plot involving Mexican drug cartels are a few wild theories seeking to explain a deadly swine flu outbreak that has killed up to 176 people.
Nobody knows for sure but scientists say the origins are in fact far less sinister and are likely explained by the ability of viruses to mutate and jump from species to species as animals and people increasingly live closer to each other.
“The pig has been considered the mixing bowl of influenza viruses. Both avian flu and pig flu viruses have spread via the pig to humans,” Paul Yeo, a virologist at Durham University in Britain, said on Thursday.
“The problem now with this virus is that it has picked up a mixture of elements, now including human elements. It’s a complex virus.”
Twelve countries have confirmed cases of the H1N1 strain, a new infection that has brought the world to the brink of a pandemic.
Finding the source of a new virus is key for scientists because understanding how it jumped to humans can lead to better drugs and vaccines as well as help prevent future outbreaks.
But one link experts probably won’t be exploring is an Internet report charging that Mexican drug cartels working with al Qaeda unleashed the swine flu.
“The claim of the conspiracy theorists is that this new combination could not have occurred naturally, but this is not true,” the New Scientist’s biology editor Michael Le Page wrote.
“Flu viruses consisting of a mixture of human, swine and bird strains have been found before.”
Sound science, however, is no match for the Internet and unsubstantiated media reports when it comes to providing a forum for ideas that have forced responses from governments and companies alike.
China’s Ministry of Agriculture, for example, on Wednesday denied overseas reports charging that dead pigs found in a south eastern province might be to blame for swine flu, according to an official Xinhua news agency article.
And in Mexico reports in at least two newspapers focused on a factory farm run by a subsidiary of global food giant Smithfield Foods. Some of the rumors mentioned noxious fumes from pig manure and flies — neither a known vector for flu viruses.
Those reports brought a swift reply from the biggest U.S. hog producer.
“Based on available recent information, Smithfield has no reason to believe that the virus is in any way connected to its operations in Mexico,” the company said in a statement.
Viruses spread much more easily on factory farms where animals are packed together than in the wild but so far there is no evidence that any one particular farm is the source.

Car hits crowd watching Dutch queen, kills 4
APELDOORN, Netherlands (AP) — A Dutch driver careened through police barriers and plowed into a crowd of merrymakers cheering and waving at their popular queen on Thursday, in a premeditated assault that killed four people and injured 13 others, authorities said.
The speeding car, already dented apparently from catapulting bystanders into the air, passed within a few meters of the open-topped bus carrying Queen Beatrix and her family down a parade route, then smashed into a stone monument.
“I think that it has become clear that this happened with premeditation,” Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende said.
Neither he nor law enforcement agencies would give a motive. But Dutch media, citing neighbors, said the assailant recently was fired from his job and was to be evicted from his home. Police identified him as a 38-year-old Dutch man with no history of mental illness or police record, but they would not release his name.
Officials in Apeldoorn said the driver had a map of the queen’s route.
~snip~
Shortly after the crash, investigators and a sniffer dog examined the car for explosives, then sliced off the roof of the car for a closer inspection......

WH: Staffer for Energy Sec. Chu may have contracted H1N1 virus while in Mexico, but has recovered and is back at work.
it was really suspicious that one of the people in Mexico
(an archeologist) who greeted Obama, died the next day. First they said it was Swine flu- then that was retracted.
What are the odds, that Obama would have been close to and exposed to someone with Swine Flu this early in the outbreak unless it was an intentional exposure of a manmade virus?
I dont think it was coincidental....
now a member of Obama’s staff that went to Mexico with him may have swine flu.. see washingtonpost article.

Obama Security Advance Team Member Has Suspected Case of Swine Flu
A member of the security advance team for President Obama’s recent trip to Mexico is suspected of having contracted swine flu.

I wondered about that myself. One day the news was he died of swine flu the next day they tried to say it was from something else.......then it disappeared for the most part.
I saw the article about Chu’s staff.
This just in, and if it gets into the AIDS community look out.
Health officials have confirmed the first swine flu case in San Francisco, according to KGO Newstalk Radio.
First Probable Swine Flu Cases Reported in Washington StateThree are in Seattle, two in Snohomish County and one in Spokane County.
Swine flu total climbs to 27 in Canada with eight new cases in Alberta and N.S.
Esam Omeish's campaign web site is fairly typical for a candidate for state delegate. The big issues for his Fairfax County district are traffic congestion, growth issues and public education. But Omeish, who is running for the Democratic nomination in the 35th district, covering an area from Vienna west to Monument and Leehigh, is no ordinary candidate. He's a surgeon with a classic immigrant success story, having arrived in this country as a young boy who spoke no English, yet rose up through the Fairfax school system to attend Georgetown University.
And Omeish is also a Muslim fundamentalist rabble-rouser whose videotaped rants urging crowds of demonstrators to adopt "the jihad way" led to his resignation from Virginia's state Commission on Immigration just 24 hours or so after Gov. Tim Kaine appointed him to the panel last fall.
Oddly enough, Omeish's campaign site somehow manages not to mention any of his activities on behalf of his brethren in the Middle East. But the evidence is all over the web. Here's the full speech Omeish gave at a Jerusalem Day rally in December, 2000, in which he says that "We, the Muslims of the Washington metropolitan area, are here today in sub-freezing temperatures to tell our brothers and sisters in Palestine that you have learned the way, that you have known that the jihad way is the way to liberate your land. And we by standing here today... we are telling them that we are with you, we are supporting you, and we will do everything that we can, insha'allah, to help your cause."

Mexican Archeology Museum Director Killed by Pneumonia Entertained Obama At Same Museum
Barack Obama and the Kingdom of the Crystal Meth.Heres some terrifying news: While the U.S. media was focused on the very important subject of some fat wingnuts having teabagging protests in America, President Barack Obama was headed to Mexico and on the night of April 16, he attended a fancy dinner at Mexico Citys famous Museo Nacional de Antropología, where noted archeologist and museum director Felipe Solís Olguín showed the U.S. president around, and they presumably shook hands and talked, without the protection of surgical masks. A few days later, Solís was dead of pneumonia.
There are various news reports from Mexico (and Spain) about this meeting, and due to the eccentricities of Googles text translator and your editors limited Spanish abilities, heres a relevant paragraph from one of the only English-language articles weve found, from Bloomberg:
The first case was seen in Mexico on April 13. The outbreak coincided with the President Barack Obamas trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at Mexicos anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archeologist who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported. The newspaper didnt confirm if Solis had swine flu or not.
Here is the obituary for Felipe Solís, in Spanish.
The famous museum is now closed to the public, like most public attractions in Mexico City.
As for Obama, after meeting Solís on the same night he met and praised the works of Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, he headed off to the Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago. And thats where, among other things, Obama shook hands with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez which was, of course, an OUTRAGE against Democracy, according to U.S. wingnuts. (He was supposed to give Chavez a wedgie.)
My IP went down and I forget where I was to get this. No link for now.
