WHO sources tell BNO News they do not know if they are dealing with a mild or very severe pandemic.
BNO NEWS CONFIRMS THE WHO HAS DECIDED TO DECLARE A PHASE 5 PANDEMIC ALERT; WHICH WOULD MARK SWINE FLU AS A PANDEMIC
It will be the first time the WHO has declared a pandemic since the system was introduced several years ago.

Bump.
Thanks for all the info and updates. Just got home from town and heard the Level 5 news. I had to take Dad to the Dr. for a “big bump on his butt”. It turned out to be nothing of concern, but my visit with our Dr. was a bit interesting. He is a member of “Doctors without Borders” and spends several weeks a year in some really remote parts of Asia and South America. He thinks Napolitano is nuts for not sealing the Mexican border immediately......and there is definitely cause for alarm, in spite of the relatively few cases and deaths in this country. He is concerned about the origin of this flu, at this time of year, where it started, and the DNA composition.
I agree with your Dr.
PatriciaRuth posted this on the WHO thread........
Yes, it can back mutate at any time to a more virulent form.
I think we all stocked up when President Obama was inaugurated, but it wouldnt hurt to check your supplies.
The best thing in any pandemic/epidemic is to minimize contact with other people. 6 feet minimum from anyone coughing, masked if there is a ventilation system that circulates the air. Dont touch face while out among in stores, etc. Wash hands hot soap and water or soak in a weak bleach solution. Wipe down purchases with weak bleach and let air dry.
But dont do that if the flu hasnt hit your area yet.
This was dated yesterdat so the numbers are old.....
CIBOLO, Texas (AP) - High school senior Hayden Henshaw went to his doctor late last week suffering the classic achy, sniffly feverishness of a flu bug — unpleasant but not terribly worrisome until lab tests came back.
The 18-year-old was among the first confirmed cases of a new flu that combines bird, swine and human viruses. He and two other classmates at Steele High School were the earliest confirmed cases in Texas, which now has six confirmed statewide, and among the first reported cases in the United States.
The local high school and others in the district were closed this week to disinfect and to try to eliminate any further transmission of the virus that has been relatively mild in the U.S. but has killed at least 150 people in Mexico.
Three other Texas school districts, in suburban Dallas, New Braunfels and Rio Grande City, have also closed some schools because of confirmed or probable cases. In all, 29 campuses have closed.
Dallas County health officials said today they’ve identified six new “probable” swine flu cases. Samples have been forwarded to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for testing.
Tarrant County health officials are awaiting CDC results on six “probable” cases of swine flu.

April 29th, 2009
Another case of swine flu was reported Wednesday just as the Geneva-based World Health Organization Wednesday raised its alert level for the fast-spreading swine flu to its next-to-highest notch, signaling a global pandemic could be imminent.
There are now eight cases of human infection with swine influenza A (H1N1) in San Diego County, Health & Human Services Agency spokesman Tom Christensen said.
More details were expected to emerge about the latest case at a 3:30 p.m. news conference at which San Diego County Public Health Officer Wilma Wooten will provide an update on developments around the county. Watch the news conference here LIVE here at 3:30.
SoCal Swine Flu Cases Worry Health Officials In other news, customs agents have stopped and cleared 41 people with flu like symptoms at U.S. borders and are awaiting test results on eight more. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano cited the numbers as she explained why no tightening of the U.S. border was needed. She said the novel swine flu virus already has spread into this country and others and that it’s too late for border closures to contain the spread of the flu.
None of the 49 people stopped so far at the border was detained for more than a few hours. She didn’t say where along the border people were stopped. Because symptoms may arise later, officials are handing out cards explaining the flulike symptoms to arriving travelers.<<<<<<<<Uh huh yep those cards are gonna save us all!! Idiots.
Woman from Michigan who had visited San Antonio has contracted the H1N1 flu when she got home.
There is one “probable” case of the swine flu in Austin Tx. A pre-K school is closed for at least 2 weeks because a 4 year old boy is ill.
RR ~ Interesting conversation you had with your doctor. Thanks for filling us in.
A documentary-style video from Al-Qaeda's North African branch released on the Internet shows children promoting jihad or holy war and inviting others to join them. The video also contains footage of previous messages by Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and Abu Yahya al-Libi.
At the end of the video, three children raise their fists in the air. The eldest child, who calls himself Abu Dajana Sufiyan says: "I am a mujahid, (a Muslim who is engages in jihad) son of a mujahid, and I tell all Muslims and particularly young Muslims to fight against the Crusaders and their heretic allies."
Abu Dajana, who presumably is 13 years old is shown in the video with two other very young children, one who calls himself Osama and another who calls himself Muadh Abdel Salam. All three are seen holding rifles. It is presumed from the video that the other children are sons of other militants that have been operating for years in the ranks of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and who are hiding in the caves in the mountainous areas of Algeria.

IMHO, Pakistan is a larger, more looming threat than Swine Flu.
Thanks for the post.
BreakingNewsBULLETIN — MEXICAN HEALTH MINISTER ASKS NON-ESSENTIAL PARTS OF THE ECONOMY TO SHUT DOWN.
What does that mean?
I have no idea, waiting to see if they clarify.
Meanwhile.........
he World Health Organization raised its pandemic alert for swine flu to level five Wednesday, one step short of a full pandemic. Already in the U.S. there are 91 confirmed cases. Close to home, there are ten probable cases in Delaware. There were four probable cases reported initially, then the number raised to six, then ten by Wednesday.
