Global Poll Shows Muslims Split on al-Qaida
(snippet)
In nearly all the nations polled, a significant majority of people - seven out of 10, on average - said they believe bombings, assassinations and violent attacks on civilians by al-Qaida and other Islamist groups are “not justified at all” as a means to achieve political or religious goals.
But Steven Kull, the director of World Public Opinion, says there is equally strong support for al-Qaida’s goal of driving the U.S. military out of the Muslim world.....

CINCINNATI (AP) — Buildings at a college outside Cincinnati have been evacuated because of a series of fires.
Firefighters say there have been at least five small fires at the College of Mount St. Joseph, found everywhere from on a bulletin board to in a bathroom. The fires were reported between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday and were quickly extinguished, leaving smoke behind.
Authorities shut off access to the two buildings where the fires broke out and launched an arson investigation.
Officials say the buildings’ sprinkler systems worked effectively.
Authorities say at least one person has received medical treatment for smoke inhalation.
Mount St. Joseph is a Catholic college of 2,300 students in Delhi Township, just west of Cincinnati.

Range of motion is better every day. I still have zero strength in the arm and can’t lift it. I go back to the doctor next week so hopefully he will tell me this is to be expected. Thanks for thinking of me Velveeta.
Wow! If they could recruit just 5% of those Somali's that would be 4,000; just from Minneapolis.

Meanwhile, a member of the same forum using the alias Song of Terror posted an entire library of bomb-making books including Professional Homemade Cherry Bombs, The Manual of Explosives, Military Pyrotechnics and Chemical Warfare Agents, as well as Death by Deception, which is a book with schematics and descriptions for booby-trapped talking teddy bears and toilet paper.

4 Tons of Fertilizer Stolen From Store (Maryland)
Monday, March 2, 2009
At least four tons of fertilizer was stolen over the weekend in Frederick, city police said. No motive had been determined. A ton of urea and three tons of other fertilizer were taken from the Southern States store on South Street between Saturday night and Sunday morning, police said. According to police, the fertilizer was contained for the most part in white 50-pound bags with a company logo.
Fertilizer thefts have attracted increased attention from law enforcement officials in recent years because some types of fertilizer can be used in making explosives. It was not immediately clear whether the materials taken could be used for such a purpose. Lt. Clark Pennington said police have notified the FBI. As a matter of routine, a report of the theft was sent to a state coordinating center, which is to notify all interested federal agencies. He said detectives would work closely with those agencies in the inquiry, which was in its early stages.

extremist terror suspect arrested(Spain)
March 5, 2009
3-Column Format MADRID: Spanish police have arrested a Moroccan man wanted on suspicion of belonging to an Islamic terror group that had allegedly prepared attacks on government and tourism targets in the North African kingdom, the Interior Ministry said Thursday.
The 21-year-old arrested Tuesday is accused of belonging to a cell that was broken up in Morocco in September, the ministry said in a statement that did not give his name. Moroccan authorities say the suspect allegedly proposed that the cell also commit attacks in Spain, the ministry said. Spanish police arrested him on international warrant that Morocco issued last month.
The suspect is accused of links with a group called Fath al-Andalus. After it was broken up with the arrest of 15 people late last summer, the official Moroccan news agency MAP quoted police as saying the cell had "operational links with foreign extremists belonging to al-Qaida."

Dr. Nagaratnam Ranjithan has spent decades building a thriving medical practice in Maryland as a kidney specialist. Federal authorities say he has also helped finance Asian death squads.
Two weeks ago, the U.S. Treasury Department froze the assets of Ranjithans Tamil Foundation, alleging that the money he has raised for Sri Lanka has actually gone to help the Tamil Tigers, a group that the State Department says is a terrorist organization. The Tigers have been blamed for thousands of civilian deaths.

A Further Word
If the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?
Recently I felt compelled to send out an URGENT message warning of an impending great calamity such that will cause even Gods elect to tremble.
One Bishop asked, Is there no further word: How should the righteous respond to such a word?
I can only answer by sharing what the Holy Spirit is speaking to my own heart and what I am to do. I shared that I was led in a practical way to lay aside a months supply of food because I have witnessed the panic in the wake of terrorism. That has to be a personal word for every individual.
This is what I hear the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart concerning my own spiritual response to impending calamity. It is simply this STAND STILL AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD.
And Moses said to the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show you today The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace (Exodus 14:13-14).
This is the attitude of faith in the face of calamity. What could Israel do on the brink of the Red Sea? Pharaohs army is pressing in, mountains are on both sides, and there is an impossible sea ahead. The flesh cries, Do something!
The flesh cries hopelessness. Can Gods people dry up the sea? Level a mountain? Fight a great army without having weapons? They are in what appears to be a dreadful, frightening situation. Gods people tremble and in this hour of trembling comes a word from God. In essence:
Stand still. Fear not. This is the hour of salvation. You are going to witness the pulling down of the foundations of a world power. But in the same hour, I will fight for you. Hold your peace be still and see my works.
Beloved, my warning is just one voice among many who are saying the same thing. We may all tremble for a season, but those who truly know Gods Word will be quickly comforted by the Holy Spirit. We will be baptized with a great peace a supernatural quietness which will be a tremendous witness to the fearful multitudes.
In Christ,
David Wilkerson
