Bet it’s the two Maine ladies and Snarlin’ Arlen. I sat next to a GOP senator on a plane right after the election and he specifically mentioned Arlen as the most unreliable Republican senator, and the one most likely to go along with Obama. Spector is a gutless jellyfish.

Think you’re right!! Those are the 4 names Mark Levine told his audience to mention in our REJECT THIS BILL call to the Senate at 202-224-3121, which I’ve been calling for 2 days with a busy signal!! I’ve been e-mail my state Senators, John McCain and Jon Kyl everyday also.

Just before noon on Friday, Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) emerged from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reids (D-Nev.) office and said the key to announcing any deal will be persuading four Senate Republican negotiators to sign onto the amendment. The Republicans who Democrats are trying to strike an accord with include moderate Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Olympia Snowe (Maine), George Voinovich (Ohio), and Arlen Specter (Pa.). Collins has served as the lead GOP negotiator.

just called the local Voinovich office in downtown cincinnati (513) 684-3265 and complained (spit into the wind?) The man who answered the phone said that it was his understanding that Voinovich was not supportive of this bill and would be voting against it.. not sure what to believe...

What I want to know is why the secrecy? Why can’t they post the bill on the internet so the taxpayers can see for a few days what we’re expected to pay for?

Ill guess. The two from Maine and. hmmmm, maybe Lugar
You could be right. I just called
Lugar's office (phone #'s at the bottom of the page), and Lugar hasn't released his position on whether he'll vote for this bill. He's supposedly trying to get some of the spending out.

Snowe, Collins and Specter, and possibly one or two other Republicans.I can guarantee you that Hutchison will not vote for the package...it would hand the primary next year to Perry.
I'm with most everyone else here: Snowe, Collins, and I'm throwing Voinovich into the mix.

Nothing else I could do than this email to RNC: I will expect Chairman Steele and the RNC to repudiate and not support ANY Senator or House member that will come up for re-election. I held my tongue and gave $200 to help elect John McCain because I wanted nothing to do with our new President and his policies. Simply put, I will have nothing to do with financially supporting this party in the future if they sell us out on this complete waste of taxpayer money. The time has come to make a stand.

Pissed off doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel. It will be my mission to help defeat the 4 sellouts I don’t care what state they are in.
To: Just mythoughts
Our main weapon of battle now is to
loudly proclaim to the nation what egregious crap is in this bill
that the ‘rats have pushed down the nation’s throat.
We may not be able to defeat it, but stealth and deceit is the only way that the left maintains power.

Boxer and Feinstein from the Great State of California. We take backseat in stupidity to no one... (actually Boxer alone, with her negative IQ, more than wipes out Feinstein's occasional foray's into sanity...).
Hey ... can I play too? Murray and Cantwell.

I don’t think this gives them cover.
The “three” involved are known liberals, I’m sure.
This is still a LIBERALS’ spending package, and when it fails, it will fail because it is inherently wrong in its affect on the economy.

Thanks for the link to the GOP. I have sent an email to Chairman Steele urging that he do everything possible to prevent any Republican Senators from voting for the Porkulus bill.
