Pittsburgh may have six Lombardi trophies, but three were direct or indirect gifts from the NFL’s officials. Their first was the result of the wrong call on Franco Harris’ Immaculate Reception in 1972. The second was the NFL’s embarrassment against the Seahawks, and what we all say yesterday.

You Tube video of the pass
It was clearly an incomplete pass. The Steelers got most of the calls all night (1st-3rd quarters) and only in the 4th quarter were they really penalized. I was hoping the Cards would avenge the Seahawks for the cheat feast the refs gave the Steelers in Super Bowl XL. Alas, justice will have to wait another day.

What part of disagreeing with the article do you not understand? As I have explained, the part I do not understand is the mental affliction that would cause someone to look at a historical fact and claim it is not so.

That’s a nice suit. Grey pinstripes. Very nice.

I think you're fighting a losing battle here, but I admire your perseverance.

LOL! Yes I probably do. The difference is that you can actually see the evidence with you own two eyes. You don’t need a consensus, just an absence of self deception.

Some of these calls appear to be bought and paid forPretty bad when the ref gets more face time on the tube than the quarterback..................well it seemed that way at least
At one point I was hoping some player would take his flags away so they can play

I don’t like the Steelers because their owner came out big for Obama, and probably tipped PA to Obama.
Cost us the election, IMHO.

Well, the winning TD should have been disallowed because Holmes only got one toe down...the angle from the field showed that clearly. On the other hand, I thought the first Pittsburgh TD shouldn’t have been overrulled, because it appeared that old cokehead’s knee was still about an inch above the turf when the ball broke the plane of the goal line.
Having said that, I quit following NFL football years ago, because it’s boring and predictable, and probably fixed most of the time. College Football is the game to watch.

As I have explained, the part I do not understand is the mental affliction that would cause someone to look at a historical fact and claim it is not so. I suppose you would rather just assert that your claim is a historical fact rather than actually defend such an assertion. On what basis do you claim that the fumble is a "historical fact"?

Obama never would have won Pennsylvania if it weren’t for those thievin’ NFL refs throwin’ the calls his way.
Filthy bastards!

The game is over. The officials confirmed the call. It's in the article, above.
Is no one reading the article?

It really didn’t matter at that point. The refs had already screwed the Cardinals so badly that the game was over anyway.
I am not a Cardinals fan. I think the Steelers were a better team who failed to play very well yesterday.

No, the league has a view and the poster had a view. The league will not create reality, but merely interpret what their observers think they saw. They will then pronounce the error as truth.
To: Dutchboy88
There is no “view” of the play. The play is decided. It was a fumble. You can look it up.

Of course they confirmed it was a fumble.
The alternative would be confirming that they made the wrong call, and could have corrected it if they had bothered to use the replay rules and equipment that exist specifically for that type of situation, they just chose not to. (Fill in the why yourself.)
That kind of honesty would be embarassing.
