I certainly hope those people get some help and relief soon. Maybe the Obammy will throw them a few crumbs as soon as he’s finished digesting his $300/pound steak at his big Super Bowl party last night.
Bush declared LA to be a Disaster Area two days before Katrina hit.
Obama witholding aid for states who did not overwhelming vote for him.
In our defense, New Orleans was a disaster area BEFORE Katrina hit. Have you seen Kentucky? We're a beautiful state even under the harshest of weather conditions. : )
No doubt the Bambis will reference Bush & Katrina again at some point when the aid check arrives in KY.
’ Gov. SteveBeshear said Thursday during a tour of Western Kentucky that Obama called him about 9 p.m. Wednesday and they spoke for about 10 minutes.
Barry waited till after his Happy Hour Extravanganza to finally pick up the phone .
Barry spent more time eating Wagyu and sipping Pink Lady cocktails then he did inquiring about Icetrina.
Obviously ,Barry has been too busy partying and focusing on his Super Bowl festivities to follow up.
Talked today to someone who lives in Kentucky--their power came on last night during the Super Bowl, had been out since last Tuesday.
A keeper.
People are doing a pretty good job of taking care of themselves down here. However, there is one area where we and the power companies could use some help and that’s tree removal. There are some many downed trees in the utility rights of ways right now that it’s really mind-boggling. Crews are spending most of their time removing debris when they should be setting new poles and hanging line.
And why isn’t Obama there trying to help out? Where is his compassion - he parties with his freinds while people are freezing.
White House Thermostat
Could this be Obama’s Kytrina?
Why is Obama on Arab TV instead of in KY?
Does the Government not understand that if Ky is allowed to recover on it's own, someone might question why “certain” areas must have money stuffed in their pocket to even walk across the street?
Has there been any looting ?
Justing kidding of course. I feel for you. I lost my power here in NH in Dec. for 4 days. It felt like 4 weeks. It makes you appreciate the little things in life.
What still strikes me about the ice storm we had in NH/MA was how it brought out the best in people. Neighbor helping neighbor and being especially grateful for the electrical line crews that came in from out of state.
In NH in Dec. we went and cleared the roads ourselves.
If we had to wait for the tree crews it would have been over a week in some locations.
No...because the media won't blame him for any of the suffering (which has much less visual impact than what happened in New Orleans)--fortunately the death toll has been only about 1% of that in Katrina.
” Icetrina “
A keeper.
Not mine, another Freeper coined it, wish I could remember the thread so they could get the credit.
