It was a great game, and so much easier on the ole ticker not to have had a dog in that fight. Two great Super Bowls in a row .. it had been a long time, really, since they were worth watching. Marred only by the halftime show that most of us ‘missed.’
Joe Namath, btw, looks better than he has in years. Maybe getting that college degree after all these yers was a good idea.
To: Richard Kimball
No, they were the PIRATES, as typically named after the baseball team.
They COMBINED with the Eagles during WWII for a bit. Nicknamed “Steagles”.

Well...after a slow start that turned into a very entertaining game.Pittsburgh stepped up and made the big plays when they had to, they deserved and earned the win. The Cardinal's blew the game with the TD interception at the end of the first half, anything but a pick 6 and they probably would have won. 14-10,10-10 or even 10-7 at half and they would have been in the game, that killed them!
In spite of that they still had a chance but the Defense just could not make a play on the final drive--just a simple stop and they would have won-- The Steelers made the plays when they had to--Champions.

Continuing:
The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Philadelphia Eagles both started in 1933. The Eagles were named after one of FDRs programs. In 1940, the Eagles moved to Pittsburgh and became the Steelers. The Pirates moved to Philadelphia and became the Eagles.

What’s the over/under on damage from the post-game celebration in Pittsburgh? $50 million? Five murders?
To: pissant
It just wouldn’t be a Steelers’ Super Bowl win without a bunch of whining from the losers.
To: EDINVA
I’ll always be a Namath fan.
Why are the caps in seahawks colors?
