PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. ARIZONA CARDINALS
6:00PM ET - NBC
Go to DisneyWorld Bruce.......
AND STAY THE HELL THERE!!!!!!
Springsteen was OK — better than the SB 1/2 time shows for the last 3 or 4 years.
It’s gonna be a wild second half...don’t count the Cardinals out.
Woooow...They didn’t play ‘Born in the USA’....Interesting...
One is his wife...
LOL!
I thought it was entertaining. That was a good halftime IMO.
You noted the white guilt Negro choir behind Brucie, didn’t ya? Right from the playbook!
I have heard that
Looked like him.
LOL. And “little” Steven can’t sing. The Boss has it covered.
Volunteers needed for Springsteen’s Super Bowl halftime show
In Print: Tuesday, January 6, 2009 -—————————————————————————————————————— TAMPA So maybe you don’t have the money or influence to score a ticket to the 2009 Super Bowl, set for Feb. 1 at Raymond James Stadium.
But you might be able to get up close and personal with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, the halftime entertainment.
Game organizers need 2,000 volunteers to run onto the field and dance, scream and jump around in front of the Boss during his short set.
Those duties come with a requirement to attend three rehearsals that will last four to 10 hours, including at least one run-through with Springsteen.
“It’s very detailed, a lot of standing around. But it’s certainly worth it,” said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of these people just to be on an NFL field.”
Being part of the field audience does not include tickets to the game, McCarthy said. The volunteers will gather in a tent outside the stadium hours before kickoff, line up and head in shortly before halftime and then leave the stadium when Springsteen finishes.
About 600 volunteer roadies will set up and tear down the stage in under five minutes.
“It’s an incredible endeavor,” McCarthy said.
Volunteers must be at least 16 and part of a 10-person group led by someone who is at least 21.
...
Big bump, sw! Didn’t they have 0’s email lists?
I've seen him twice -- The Darkness of the Edge of Town and The River tours ('78 and '80). Great shows, but it's been all downhill ever since for the guy. ...as far as the quality of his albums are concerned.
Wasn’t he bashing America with that song??
That guy screaming into the mic with Bruce was either Nils Lofgren or the guy from the Sopranos, I’m not sure which.
It was twelve minutes of my lifetime I won’t get back. I could have been cooking the onion rings...
Springsteen is a phenom I never understood (in 30 years!!) but he’s better than seeing that memorable halftime show with P Diddy grabbing his crotch followed by the S&M lingerie show and then the final relatively tame “Janet J’s boob” segment.
Yeah it was.
I thought it was a good half time show, although brucie seemed a bit winded.
