Prime Minister Ehud Olmert asked Pensioners Affairs Minister Rafi Eitan to join a special team working to secure the release of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.

"I want to use the knowledge and experience he gained in the security establishment in recent years," Olmert said at Sunday's cabinet meeting. "We are working via various channels to accelerate Schalit's release."

interesting...Eitan was the super-spy who planned the catch of Eichmann in Argentina. He's for sure considered one of the most brilliant masterminds of 20th century espionage.

Why don’t they just do this the easy way and ask Obama to place a single call to Shalit’s captors and have him released. Sheesh.

In the end I fear all they’ll get back is his desecrated corpse.

Now is the terrorist were smart (which of course we know they are not) they would release Schalit just before the elections to try and influence them.

I am convinced they would much rather have left moonbats such as Olmert and Livni in power, than face Bibi, cuz they know after he gets in their days are numbered.

If Shalit is still alive, he will be released the day Bibi takes office.

I’m with you, I’ve said all along to hubby that Schalit is dead and has probably been dead since shortly after his capture. All Israel will get is the bones of Schalit. I would love to be wrong on this, but I don’t think that I am.
