At least 42 people have died in the icy arc of destruction that began in the Midwest. At least nine deaths were reported in Arkansas, six each in Texas and Missouri, three in Virginia, two each in Oklahoma, Indiana and West Virginia and one in Ohio. Most were blamed on hypothermia, traffic accidents and carbon monoxide poisoning from generators.

Obama’s presidency has been a total disaster so far.
Obama Dozed, People Froze!
“OholyO” Love it.
º has as many names as he has relatives including the
illegal ones. Hmmm, does that include him>? Hmmm
What are the local governments saying? Any feedback? I know that the Feds are not called in unless requested....but I wonder what the Govs are saying about the SILENCE.
His thermostat is turned up higher than he wants ours to be set.
How many people actually died during and b/c of Katrina?
I can not believe the media isn't running wall to wall coverage on this. Maybe reporters would rather be in a warmer storm area like New Orleans and away from bunch of freezing cold Red Stater's.
First, prayers for those folks and their families. And, prayers for all of those living in the effected area.
Now, WHERE’S THE DAMN OUTRAGE????
Where is the 24/7 coverage by MSM?
Where is Geraldo and Shep on Fox, screaming their heads off, alleging that tens of thousands are being left to die by president Bush.
When made aware of this catastrophe, all our Failure-in Chief does is turn up the heat in the White House! Damn his uncaring incompetence.
Why doesn’t he get off of his white hating black a$$ and fly into the storm and personally help those folks out.... is he a coward or does he know that he’s incompetent?
Are all the victims white and is this just another time when the chickens are coming home to roost for those gun toting bible clinging folks that need to learn to sacrifice?
Two days ago the death toll was reported at 22. Now the death count is approaching 50! How many of those are children?
Will there be an investigation into the White House’s callus, deliberate and negligent failure to prevent these deaths?
This is all happening “on Obama’s watch,” to use a phrase that was pounded into my brain the last eight years.
Why dont you come on over here and try it for a spell friend?
Meanwhile, Obama is throwing a party. Can you IMAGINE the coverage if this was George? Somebody cue Shep Smith.
Don’t you worry. I’ve experienced plenty of cold. Enough that I’ve got more cold weather gear stashed away than I’ll probably ever use. There’s probably ten sets of long underwear in my spare bedroom. At least.
Hey, just give it time.... once Hamas re-distributes some of that $20,000,000 Obami just gave them, everything will be just fine. Besides the palestinians were attacked by evil jooooos. We need the rest of the world to love us.
Come on, we're talking typical white people. Surely he's dispatched the buses.
Obama doesn’t have Karl Rove steering the ice storms to attack black people.
Why didn’t FEMA have their relief trucks in position to roll in right after the storm?
No mention of this tragedy by Obama. No flight to the areas to view the situation by our new POTUS. No interest shown to the people. And yet Bush was criticized immediately about the devistation in New Orleans from the Hurricane.
At least Obama could have cancelled his Super Bowl party and sent some of his favorite chili to the people freezing in these areas. But no, he just cranks up the heat in the Oval Office to 77 degrees, and throws a party to boot! And he gets a pass from the media like no other president ever.
"I'm not saying we can't handle it," Smith said. "We're handling it. But it sure would have made life a lot easier."
FEMA spokeswoman Mary Hudak said some agency workers had begun working Friday in Kentucky and more help was on the way. Hudak said FEMA also has shipped 50 to 100 generators to the state to supply electricity to such facilities as hospitals, nursing homes and water treatment plants.
"We have plenty of folks ready to go, but there are some limitations with roads closed and icy conditions," she noted."
Let me get this straight, the emergency crews can't get in because of the emergency? What good are they if they don't have plans on how to mobilize and help people? Sheesh.
Well, so have I. I grew up in Pennsylvania and was stationed with the Army in Germany for 3 years. So I know a thing or two about the cold myself. Things are very bad here right now and you shouldn’t be making light of it. Doing so puts you on the same level as Obama and I would like to think that is not so......
