This is the second article I’ve read on FR about Judge Moon making this statement to female victims of crime.
I know Judge Moon, used to buy columns from him for an outdoor magazine. For your information, he is one heck of a bowhunter, and for years represented a bow company.
He means what he says.
He once wrote an article for the this magazine about the first attempt at government gun control, a case that happened here in Tennessee during the Civil War. In addition to being a conservative, pro hunting judge, he’s also an excellent writer.
I’d post that article, but it was published before the magazine was online, and I don’t have a copy of it.
“But we can’t depend on the police to protect us any more.”
In reality, I don’t think the police ever WERE able to protect each and every one of us at any point in time.
I like this guy. :)
WOW!
We need more like Judge Moon on the bench, he’s realistic about crime and being prepared to protect ourselves.
Thanks for the ping.
Bow hunting brings back a lot of memories all the way back to when I was almost crawling. My dad and some friends in the Knoxville area used to gather around and make their own arrows. They were among the first legal bow hunters in the state and formed one of the areas first archery clubs. Dad started me out on a Rew Wing hunter 50 pounder if I remember right.
The judge is what we need more of in our court rooms. I've heard some god old fashioned country judges in our neck of the woods and you can bet they carry themselves.
We need to clone these two and send them across the country.
Gracias for ping. (That's Southwestern speak) ;)
