Dear Norman Bates,

“That’s posturing.”

Could be. But that disgusts me, too. The man is a coward, then, didn't have the guts to stand up for what he really believes.

Either way, he's muddied the water.

“No where does he say he supports Roe.”

Actually, he says that Roe wasn't a good decision but that it should stand. That's what “stare decisis” concludes to.

I'm willing to say that what he said was merely an act of political cowardice, rather than outright apostasy.

But he's got to come clean and reaffirm that Roe must go.

Or I'll go.

“That is INSANE.”

Then I'm nuts. ;-) What can I tell ya?

“Steele is a devout Catholic,...”

So what? Nancy Pelosi claims the same.

“...pro-life to the core,...”

Sorry. I can no longer vouch for that.

“...a Knight of Columbus...”

I'm a Grand Knight. Regrettably, I know more than one pro-abortion Knight. * sigh *

“...and former seminarian.”

Sadly, we know more than one cleric who aren't pro-life.

Like I said, I'm willing to call it a mulligan, but he has to reaffirm that Roe must go.

Or I do. But it's just insane, crazy, nuts ol’ me. So it doesn't mean much. Right?

“Did you quit the GOP when Ken Mehlman was Chairman?”

Did Mr. Mehlman say on nation TV that Roe should stay?

Sorry, Norman. I followed you down the rabbit hole on the jackass McCain. In large part because of you, I supported the moron. Gave him hundreds of dollars.

He turned out to be a(n) (unwitting? witting?) tool of the anti-Christ Obama.

I won't be fooled again.

All those things a pro-abortion politician do not add up to. By the way, Pelosi et al are not devout in any way shape or form.

You’re quite bitter then. Well I’m sorry. I wish I could get your money back. And mine. Good night.

Here’s a simple solution why don’t you send Steele an e-mail saying you will leave the GOP unless he clarifies his position on Roe and life issues?

Oh and one more thing - why don’t you stop clinging to one debate segment. I notice also you could explain that while he dodged Roe as not relevant to the Senate (100% true) you made no mention in the same debate of his obstinate opposition to ESCR. ‘Splain that.

And you live in Maryland too. You ought to know Steele better than that.

Dear sitetest,

I did the same, except that I had already donated all I could to Fred Thompson, so I was spared the possibility of donating to McCain's campaign. I do regret and will not vote for or support any "moderate" such as McCain in any capacity, again.

With kind regards,

trisham
