It did have a deed provision that said whites only and when Dawson found out about it he wrote them a letter of protest.
The club’s membership is whites only, but guests can be of any race. How charming. I have a real hard time believing that someone who has been part of a club for twelve years wouldn’t know anything about its membership requirements or history. As I said earlier, it sounds a lot like the Obama excuse when the Wright problem was revealed.
