It already has, in a way. The real story is not Blago and the senate seat, but the pay-for-play with medical institutions. Obama and his wife and Rezko are in that already. Obama chaired a very-relevant senate committee, and his wife's $350K job at a hospital was not due to her brains and bright smile.

Yep. From what I’ve been hearing, most people know that many politicians do the same things that Blago is accused of. What makes him “worse” is that he was caught on tape using the f word. I’m not kidding! The Dems and media have done a good job of centering scorn on Blago, thus leaving all of our other Dem politicians safe...at least for now.
Between Blago and his wife, they have enough on Zero to really cause problems. His wife was the realestate agent for Rezko and knows the details of the Zero house and lot deal. Blago was up to his ears in the hospital extorsion scheme that Rezko ran and Zero supported. Got Michelle the big job at the hospital.
... not to mention body armor.
