I can’t really blame her though. They’re handing out “free” money, why be the one stuck holding the bag? Since property values have dropped off the cliff here in AZ, a lot of us who have no problems paying our mortgages are now headed for trouble because our mortgage loan/property value ratio is upside down. We just made the mistake of buying at the wrong time.
Oh, I don’t “blame her”.
I blame the evil bastids that have re-formed our culture, society, and public policy such that the reward/punish incentive system has been turned on its head.
And they did it on purpose.
