In case you all missed it in your eagerness to crow about how wrong I am re the so-called operation chaos, see my post #42.
My reference is to the earlier part of the primary season, before McQueeg won the nomination. Are each one of you going to sit there and tell me that most conservatives were NOT more afraid of Hillary than Obama? Are you seriously going to claim that most conservatives thought Obama would be easier to candidate beat?
Rush transitioned into what he called operation chaos after playing around with encouraging Republicans to cross over and vote for Obama in New Hampshire.
There are a number of reasons why we have the O as president now: the economy, McQueeg's horrible campaign, Bush fatigue, and so on. However, one big reason is the fact that conservative Republican voters could not rally around one viable candidate early in the primary season. Emphasis on viable. Between our already split vote among a large field of Republican candidates, stupid cross-overs to try to manipulate the Dems into nominating Obama, the equally stupid Republican open primaries in early voting states, and other factors, we wound up with the weakest possible candidate while the Dems wound up with the strongest possible one.
That, in a nutshell, is how we got where we are today.
Nice deflection attempt, but you originally posted that Rush was encouraging people to vote for Obama, then you wrapped yourself in the cloak of victimhood by declaring that since Rush airs at 9 am in Cali, you were working, so couldn't listen. The implication, of course, being that anyone that can listen to Rush at odd hours is some kind of slacker that doesn't work. Addressing the latter point -- it discounts all who a) run their own business; b) are on the road working (route men, salesmen, etc.); and c) those who have a radio at work (gasp!) -- not to mention that there were literally hundreds of post on FR about it, which you seem to have missed.
Yes, I can seriously tell you that it was the McCain contingency that was most vociferous at opposing Hillary (not enough difference between McCain and her was actually the problem -- progressives both) -- and Rush got it exactly right. Thus, "Operation Chaos." Google it.
I always thought she was easier to beat and Hannity and many others did too. zer0 bought the election, everyone knew during the primaries who he associated with, his sordid, corrupt past, ACORN, Rezko, Ayers I could go on and on. If he won the nomination, there was no stopping his corrupt machine. His crooks had 750 MILLION dollars. Go ahead, try to tell me that was his black sheep and liberal sheep in the US. Puhhhlleeeze.
