The Kennedy family is seeking revenge against New York Gov. David Paterson for his treatment of Caroline Kennedy during her aborted bid for the senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton, the New York Post reported
"The governor's going to pay for this," a prominent Democrat told the New York Post. "Ted is furious. The family is furious. The Kennedys are now against the governor."

Reading between and taking a WAG: Paterson informed Sweet Caroline at the start she had no chance, but he would hold off announcing his actual pick to give her time to withdraw "for personal reasons".
When she was too stupid to take the suggestion, details of her suitabilty for the job may have been mentioned by sources not necessarily unconnected with the Governor.
Over 45 years of mythologizing his memory and actual record has obscured just what a filthy horn-dog pig JFK was in his personal life, and how nearly catastrophically inept he was as president. So yes, JFK was just as much of a slob as the rest of the clan.

So what? What influence do they have in NY? Paterson’s name is mud these days, anyway. Will Caroline launch a primary challenge to the new Senator in 2010? How challenge Paterson in the primary in 2010? Lots of low-wattage bluster here.

The Kennedys are now against the governor."I guess someone forgot to tell the Kennedys that A) they are not black, B) that Paterson is black, and C) that Obama -- whom they've given their wholehearted support -- is also black. Obama's gotten what he wants out of the Kennedy family, and they are now expendible.
I would expect the new Senator from NY to fall in line quickly with her dem compatriots in the Senate.
