Too bad we missed him in 86'

I don't think it was an accident we missed him in '86. A friend of mine who was in the military at the time told me that every place he had been in the previous 48 hours was bombed in order. You'll notice we didn't hear much from him after that.

I just finished reading “Skunk Works” by Ben Rich. This book was published about 10 years ago. Ben Rich was the project manager on the F-117 Stealth Fighter. He said that the original plan was to hit Gadhafi using the F-117 but that was changed by Def Sec Weinberger to use F-111’s and
F-14’s. It would have been the first mission for the F-117 and would have revealed its existence. Rich said that Gadhafi would be dead if the F-117 was used.
